NFL Week 7 Injury Report for Offensive Players

Chase Edmonds, RB – Questionable

Edmonds has played through a shoulder injury the past two weeks and should be able to continue in his normal role.

Russell Gage, WR – Questionable

Gage has not been on the field since Week 2. He participated in practice on Monday so there is a good chance he can return this week. Watch practice reports later in the week to be sure.

Calvin Ridley, WR

Ridley missed Week 5’s game in London with a personal issue but returned to practice. He should be expected to play this week.

Rashod Bateman, WR (groin)

Bateman made his NFL debut in Week 6 and was targeted 5 times. Bateman could be interesting in the coming weeks, especially if fellow wide receiver Sammy Watkins remains sidelined.

Sammy Watkins, WR – Questionable

Watkins missed Week 6 with a hamstring injury and remains questionable for Week 7.

Dawson Knox, TE – Bye Week

Knox left Week 6 with a hand injury that was later revealed to be a broken bone in his hand. He isn’t expected to miss much time according to the team, but his status after the bye week should be monitored.

Christian McCaffrey, RB – Injured Reserve

McCaffrey has missed the last two games with a hamstring injury. Initially, the team thought they could get their star running back on the field in a short time, but McCaffrey has now been placed on the injured reserve, sidelining him until at least Week 9.

Tarik Cohen, RB (knee – ACL)

Remains on the PUP list.

David Montgomery, RB – IR

Montgomery was placed on injured reserve prior to Week 5. He will be eligible to return Week 8 but his initial timeline of four to five weeks would make a return Week 9 or 10 more likely. With the Bears’ bye week in Week 10, I would expect Montgomery back Week 11.

Damien Williams, RB – COVID-19 Questionable

Williams missed Week 6 while on the COVID list. Hopefully, he can make it back for Week 7, although a matchup against Tampa Bay doesn’t bode well for his fantasy outlook.

Allen Robinson, WR

Robinson played in Week 6 but was questionable leading up to it with an ankle injury. He should continue to be active in Week 7, but watch his practice participation to be sure.

Joe Mixon, RB – Questionable

Mixon played through an ankle injury in Weeks 5 and 6. He should be able to play again in Week 7 but is likely to be listed as questionable leading up to the game.

Samaje Perine, RB – COVID-19, Questionable

Perine missed Week 6 while on the COVID list but has a good chance to return in Week 7. If he doesn’t clear protocol, look for rookie Chris Evans to continue to serve as the second running back in the Bengals’ backfield.

Jarvis Landry, WR – Injured Reserve

Remains on injured reserve, eligible to return at any time. Keep an eye on his status leading up to Thursday night to see if he is activated.

Nick Chubb, RB – Out

Chubb did not play in Week 6 and has already been ruled out of Week 7’s Thursday night game with a calf injury.

Kareem Hunt, RB – Injured Reserve

Hunt left Week 6 with a calf injury and was placed on injured reserve. He will miss at least three games and will be able to return in Week 10 at the earliest. Initially, Hunt’s injury looked as though it could have been a season-ending Achilles injury, so it is better than it could have been but not ideal for managers hoping to have a few weeks of Hunt with the backfield to himself.

Odell Beckham, WR – Questionable

Beckham left Week 6 with a shoulder injury but was able to return and finish the game. Beckham did not practice Monday or Tuesday, so check his participation on Wednesday to see if he will be ready to go Thursday night.

Baker Mayfield, QB – Out

Mayfield is expected to play after briefly leaving the Browns’ Week 6 game after another shot to his non-throwing shoulder. The torn labrum that Mayfield suffered earlier in the season will continue to be an issue of pain management, but it seems that he is set on continuing to play through it.

Update: Mayfield has been ruled out of Week 7 and Case Keenum has been named the starter.

Dak Prescott, QB – Bye Week

Prescott suffered a calf injury on the last play of the game that was confirmed via MRI Monday to be a strain. The Cowboys are hopeful he can return following their Week 7 bye, but as teammate Michael Gallup has shown, calf injuries are not cut and dry.

Michael Gallup, WR – IR

Gallup is on injured reserve with a previously reported injury. Gallup was eligible to return in Week 5 but wasn’t ready to return to practice yet. Keep an eye out for practice reports in the coming weeks to get an idea of his return timeline.

Jerry Jeudy, WR – IR (out 6-8 weeks)

Jeudy is currently on injured reserve with a previously reported injury. Head coach Vic Fangio said Jeudy’s chances are less than 50% so I don’t expect him to be activated just yet.

Teddy Bridgewater, QB – Questionable

Bridgewater is expected to play Thursday night but was limited Monday after taking nine sacks in Week 6.

Noah Fant, TE – Questionable

Fant has a foot injury that kept him limited in Monday’s practice. His status should be monitored leading up to Thursday Night Football.

Tyrell Williams, WR – IR

Currently on injured reserve with a previously reported concussion. Eligible to return at any time but there is no indication of when he might return.

D’Andre Swift, RB – Questionable

Swift was able to play through his groin injury the past few weeks. Watch his status this week to make sure Swift doesn’t suffer any setbacks.

Jamaal Williams, RB – Questionable

Williams has also been playing through an injury (hip) for a few weeks and should be fine moving forward.

T.J. Hockenson, TE – Questionable

Like Swift and Williams, expect Hockenson to be limited or out of practice at times this week. He did not practice last Wednesday, but still was able to play in Week 6 and I expect a similar week for him in Week 7.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling, WR IR

Valdes-Scantling is eligible to return in Week 7 from his hamstring injury, but there has not been any indication yet whether that is likely to happen.

Aaron Jones, RB – Questionable

Jones was limited in practice the last two weeks with an ankle injury but has been able to play through it successfully.

Tyrod Taylor, QB – IR

Taylor is on injured reserve and eligible to be activated at any time, depending on how his hamstring injury is progressing.

Nico Collins, WR

Collins was active in Week 6 following an IR stint as a result of a shoulder injury. He should be clear moving forward.

T.Y. Hilton, WR – Questionable

Hilton returned to the field in Week 6, just in time to play his favorite opponent, Houston. However, Hilton was forced to exit early with a quad injury and is questionable for Week 7.

Parris Campbell, WR – IR

Campbell suffered a foot injury that has landed him on injured reserve, possibly for the rest of the 2021 season.

Bye Week
No new injuries were reported.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire, RB – Out

Edwards-Helaire was out Week 6 with a previously reported injury. He will be out of action for a few weeks but a more definitive timeline isn’t available yet.

Tyreek Hill, WR – Questionable

Hill was questionable with a quad injury leading up to Week 6 and missed a drive or two during the game, but was able to return to the field and finish. Keep an eye on his practice status leading up to Week 7.

No new injuries were reported.

Bye Week
No new injuries were reported.

No new injuries were reported.

Tua Tagovailoa, QB

Tagovailoa returned in Week 6 and appeared to be fully healthy.

Will Fuller, WR – IR

Fuller is on injured reserve with a previously reported fractured finger. He will be eligible and likely to return in Week 8.

DeVante Parker, WR – Questionable

Parker was inactive with a hamstring injury in Weeks 5 and 6 and is questionable for Week 7.

Bye Week
No new injuries were reported.

No new injuries were reported.

Deonte Harris, WR – Questionable

Harris left the Week 6 with a hamstring injury and will likely be questionable heading into Week 7. With the Saints on bye in Week 6, we likely won’t have any further information until the practice reports leading up to Week 7.

Tony Jones, RB – Out

Jones was carted off in Week 4 due to an ankle injury and is expected to miss 3-4 weeks, putting his return at around Week 8.

Michael Thomas, WR – PUP

Thomas is eligible to come off of the PUP list, but is expected to miss a few more weeks.

Saquon Barkley, RB – Doubtful Out

Barkley missed Week 6 and is likely to miss Week 7.

Kenny Golladay, WR – Doubtful Out

Golladay missed Week 6 with a hyperextended knee and his status remains up in the air for Week 7.

Kadarius Toney, WR – Doubtful Out

Toney is expected to miss at least one week with an ankle injury.

Sterling Shepard, WR – Questionable

Shepard has missed three weeks with a hamstring injury and remains questionable.

Team Update:

Barkley, Golladay, and Toney have all been ruled out of Week 7 while Sterling Shepard remains questionable.

Evan Engram, TE – Questionable

Engram is officially questionable but seems likely to play with a calf injury. He has missed some practice this week, so it is worth monitoring heading into Sunday.

No new injuries were reported.

Dallas Goedert, TE – Questionable

Goedert was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list and missed Week 6. He has not cleared the league’s COVID protocol yet. Once activated he will presumably be the only relevant tight end on an offense that relies heavily on the position now that Zach Ertz has been traded to Arizona.

Bye Week
Ben Roethlisberger, QB – Probable

Roethlisberger continued to appear banged up and sore off and on through the Steelers’ Week 6 game. An extra week to rest might do him some good in terms of his health.

Russell Wilson, QB – IR

Wilson is on injured reserve with a previously reported finger injury. His earliest return is in Week 10.

Rashaad Penny, RB – Questionable

Penny was activated from injured reserve and will be eligible to play in Week 7. Monitor practice reports to ensure that he will be active this week.

Chris Carson, RB – IR

Carson was placed on IR with the neck injury that kept him out of Week 6. He will be eligible to return Week 10.

Alex Collins, RB – Questionable

Collins has been the main running back with Carson and Penny out, but he is now questionable with a hip and glute injury. If Collins is out, look for Penny and Deejay Dallas to take over the backfield duties.

Jamycal Hasty, RB – IR

Hasty was placed on injured reserve with a high ankle sprain and will be eligible to return in Week 7.

Trey Lance, QB – Questionable

Lance suffered a sprained knee in Week 5 and did not practice to start the Week 7 preparation.

Jimmy Garoppolo, QB

Garoppolo returned to practice to begin Week 7 and appears to be the likely starter for San Francisco this week.

George Kittle, TE – IR

Kittle is on injured reserve with a calf injury and will not be eligible to return until Week 8.

Rob Gronkowski, TE – Questionable Out

Gronkowski has missed several games with injuries to his ribs. His status for Week 7 remains up in the air.

Team Update:

Gronkowski has been ruled out of Week 7 along with Antonio Brown, giving fantasy managers a confidence boost when putting Chris Godwin and Mike Evans in their lineups.

Julio Jones, WR – Questionable

Jones returned to the lineup in Week 6 only to exit once again with a hamstring injury. Monitor his practice status throughout the week.

Ryan Fitzpatrick, QB – IR

Fitzpatrick is on injured reserve with a previously reported injury.

Curtis Samuel, WR – Questionable

Samuel missed Week 6 with the groin injury that has kept him off of the field for most of the season so far. I’m pessimistic that he is able to play in Week 7 and is risky at best even if he does.

Logan Thomas, TE – IR

Thomas left Week 4 with a hamstring injury and was placed on injured reserve prior to Week 5. He will be eligible to return in Week 8, but with the Football Team’s bye in Week 9 I won’t be surprised if they hold him out until Week 10.

Antonio Gibson, RB – Questionable

Gibson left Week 6 early with presumably the same shin injury that has been plaguing him in recent weeks. It looks like he will be a long shot to play in Week 7 but check back for more updates.
