Looking for some IDP Investments to upgrade your IDP devy portfolios for this season? I can help you with that!
We’re now just past halfway into the college football season and Week 7 is now in the books. Maybe you’re looking for upgrades for your fantasy rosters. Or maybe now that bye weeks are hitting heavy, you need some help filling them? I’m here to help you diversify your fantasy portfolios and get the maximum return on your investments. The IDP Devy Stock Market is back!
This week I want to give you some IDP devy stocks that are youngsters and can help your IDP devy portfolios for multiple years. Let’s take a closer look at what stocks you should invest in.
Ben Bywater, LB, BYU
My first IDP devy stock market buy is linebacker Ben Bywater of the BYU Cougars. Bywater is classified as a freshman, but it’s his third year in the system after two injury-riddled seasons. Now fully healthy, we’re seeing just how good he can be. Through seven games played, Bywater has recorded 58 tackles, 30 solos, 4 TFLs, and 1 sack. Over the last four games, he has had 40 tackles and at least 8 in each of those contests.
Bywater is rostered in just 17% of Fantrax fantasy leagues. So if you’re looking for immediate production with long-term value, then this is an IDP devy stock that you’ll want to add to your IDP portfolios. He has three more years of possible eligibility left unless he leaves early. His 58 tackles rank among the top 25 in the nation. Also, that is first among all independent teams. Bywater is a great low investment risk with a potentially high return.
Maxen Hook, S, Toledo
Next on my IDP Devy stock market investment list is freshman Max Hook of the Toledo Torpedos. With last year not counting towards eligibility, Hook retains his freshman classification. Through seven games played this season, Hook has registered 49 tackles, 17 being solo, 2½ TFLs, one sack, 2 PBUs, and 1 blocked kick. In the last two games, Hook has had 24 combined tackles, 1½ TFLs, 1 sack, and 1 PBU.
Just like Bywater, Hook is rostered in only 17% of Fantarx fantasy leagues. It’s not very often you can find high production IDPs on the waiver wire to invest in. This is another IDP devy stock that has three years of possible eligibility left. Now that we’re into conference play, look for Hook to continue to get plenty of opportunities to make plays against the wide-open offenses of the MAC. This is a great penny stock that can yield you a high return.
Felix Anudike-Uzomah, DE, Kansas State
The next Investment option on my IDP Devy stock market list is sophomore defensive end Felix Anudike-Uzomah of the Kansas State Wildcats. Anudike-Uzommah has been one of the best defenders for Kansas State this season. Through six games he has tallied 24 tackles, 16 being solos, 5½ TFLs, 5 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles. Both his sack total (5) and forced fumble totals (2) rank second in the Big-12 Conference this season.
Anudike-Uzomah is rostered in less than a quarter (22%) of Fantrax fantasy leagues and with how he’s playing he is a must roster option. His game is all about sacks which is what you want for your IDP devy portfolios. Anudike-Uzomah is just a sophomore and will only continue to get better. Sack leaders aren’t usually available on the waiver wire, so go see if he is in your league and put a claim in on him.
DeWayne Carter, DT, Duke
My next Investment option on my IDP Devy stock market list is sophomore defensive tackle DeWayne Carter of the Duke Blue Devils. Defensive tackles aren’t generally thought of as fantasy assets unless you play in position-specific leagues. However, Carter is putting together quite a season. In seven games this season, Carter has recorded 24 tackles, 10 being solo, 5½ TFLs, 3½ sacks, 4 forced fumbles, and 2 PBUs. All of those stats are career-best for Carter and he still has five to six games left to play.
When looking at Fantrax to see how much he was rostered, I was shocked to see it was a mere 3%. As you can see, he’s available in almost every league. Because of this, go add him to your rosters. Defensive tackles don’t usually get a lot of sacks and are used more as run stoppers. The fact he’s getting pressures and sacks tells me he’s more than just a run-stopper. Carter is a nice low investment stock for your IDP devy portfolios.
Kei`Trel Clark, CB, Louisville
My last Investment option on my IDP Devy stock market list is sophomore cornerback Kei`Trel Clark for the Louisville Cardinals. Don’t be fooled by his diminutive size (5’10”/180), Clark packs a big game. In six games played this season, Carter has registered 32 tackles, with 26 of those being solos, 3½ TFLs, 3 interceptions, and 4 PBUs. Clark has had at least five tackles in five of the six games and two games with five tackles and two PBUs.
As you can see Clark is an impact player and one that should be rostered on all your IDP devy teams. He’s rostered in just 14% of Fantrax fantasy leagues, so he’s widely available. With Clark’s size, I feel he’s more of an IDP devy option only. However, that’s not to say he doesn’t have NFL potential. We’ll see how that plays out but for now, he’s a great IDP devy play that’s producing a high return.
