Goals of the Podcast
Gary’s Guys: Dive into guy’s Gary has been keeping an eye out for during preseason and training camp.
Brian’s Question of the Day: What team do you see yielding the most IDP relevant players.
The “IDP Bible” Breakdown: A weekly segment diving into Gary’s IDP Bible that pertains to strategy when approaching IDP leagues
Catching Cowboys: a look at a few possible IDP gems for the upcoming season.
Brian and Gary go into a discussion on what the podcast will be and what they expect moving forward. The podcast should be bi-weekly, with a chance of featuring it once a week in the future.
Gary goes into a few guys he likes including Eagles player Kamu Grugier-Hill and Kansas City CHief Armani Watts. Gary and Brian talk about the dangers of relying on rookie IDP players to win your league. Gary helps give statistical evidence to back this up, although he likes Watts long-term.
Brian asks about who Gary thinks are teams to target when looking for IDP relevant players. He likes what Atlanta is doing as well as Buffalo and Jacksonville. Brian and Gary also discuss why the Jet’s may be fools gold and why they don’t have as many relevant players as you might think.
Gary goes into detail about his “IDP Bible” which can be found here https://idpguys.org/the-suggested-idp-roster-starting-lineup-bible/. Gary talks about consistency and the numbers backing up which positions to target. He also talks about the difference between strong and free safeties and where you can find production.
The show wraps up with Gary going into detail about a few Cowboy’s players everyone should keep their eye on. Gary thinks that Frazier and Woods should win out at the safety position and Leighton Vander Esch should see production, although you shouldn’t be hedging your bet on him.
