Injuries are headlining week two for this week’s Waiver Wire Adds. Week two is in the books and I have a list of players that can help you have a successful week three and beyond.
Two big IDP names unfortunately are done for the season for New England and New York. I have listed some great replacements and also some defensive players being slept on so far, this 2024 season.
Defensive Tackle:
Gervon Dexter Sr. – Chicago Bears
I have added Gervon again because he had another successful fantasy week. He is averaging just over 6 points a game in standard scoring leagues with a sack in each of the last two weeks. Dexter is filling in nicely in his second year and currently outpacing his sack totals compared to his rookie season. The only downfall for him is that his tackling performance isn’t great, so the sacks and QB hits have to keep coming for him to be a viable starter each week.
Mario Edwards Jr. – Houston Texans
The vet is doing a great job while taking advantage of Autry’s suspension. He has had 2 sacks so far this season and currently ranked as DT2 so far in fantasy. Edwards isn’t a tackling machine, and I would love to see him create more QB hits, but he has played well. He is a viable weekly starter in the Defensive Tackle spot for your fantasy roster.
