Week 8 Recap
Another hot week of waivers keeps us rolling.
- Kenneth Gainwell was an obvious addition to fantasy rosters with a ‘buyers beware’ tag due to the potential of Boston Scott and a committee group.
- Michael Carter Jr had his breakout day
- Pat Freiermuth was expected to see volume and did.
- Traps: Brandon Bolden and Allen Lazard
The Bullseyes – Week 8
Michael Carter, RB, New York Jets
He finished RB1 on the week. Last chance to add him.
Week 8: 15 carries, 77 yards, 1 touchdown; 9/14 catches 95 yards; 32.20 Fantasy Points
Pat Freiermuth, TE, Pittsburgh Steelers
We told you to beat the waiver wire several weeks ago and, if you hadn’t then he was a priority pick-up for week 8.
Week 8: 4/7 catches, 44 yards, 1 touchdown; 14.40 Fantasy Points
He’ll continue to get better and has a great schedule for Tight Ends moving forward.
The Obvious
Michael Thomas, WR, New Orleans Saints
Week 9 is when Michael Thomas has been touted for his return. Don’t expect WR elite talent of old. But in PPR leagues he has enough high upside.
Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Miami Dolphins
We had Tua Tagovailoa as an obvious pick-up several weeks ago. A week of patience has hopefully paid off as week 9 has arrived. It’s the Texans. Go get him if he’s available.
Foster Moreau, TE, Las Vegas Raiders
If Darren Waller remains sidelined then Foster Moreau is who you want. We had him as a bold addition to rosters last week to beat the waiver wire in case, Darren Waller was to miss further time.
Other obvious candidates:
Taysom Hill, QB, New Orleans Saints
Scottie Phillips, RB, Houston Texans
Elijah Moore, WR, New York Jets
Rashod Bateman, WR, Baltimore Ravens
Van Jefferson, WR, Los Angelas Rams
The Bold
Carlos Hyde, RB, Jacksonville Jaguars
James Robinson left with an ankle injury. Carlos Hyde is the next man up. He is a bold addition to rosters as James Robinson’s injury looked minor and he may not miss time. Watch the injury report.
Other Bold candidates (Deep Rosters Only):
Mark Ingram, RB, New Orleans Saints
Jamal Agnew, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars
The Stashes
Tyler Johnson, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Tyler Johnson is a stash candidate because he steps into an offense with Tom Brady as the QB. If Antonio Brown were to miss further time with injury. Tyler Johnson steps into WR3 range.
Week 8: 5/6 catches, 65yards; 11.50 Fantasy Points
Other Stash candidates (Deep Rosters Only):
Jeff Wilson, RB, San Francisco 49ers
Nico Collins, WR, Houston Texans
The Traps
Braxton Berrios, WR, New York Jets
I am confident we had him named as a trap the first few weeks of the season. He now returns to the list. Don’t do it!
Other Traps candidates:
Randall Cobb, WR, Green Bay Packers
Geoff Swaim, TE, Tennessee TItans
