The dreaded Week 7 has arrived. The hurricane of bye weeks just made landfall and swooshed away the majority of fantasy-relevant players. But we hope you have stay tuned to our every edition of waivers that have you comfortably walking along a calm path to success. Here’s the waiver wire Week 7 edition!
The first rule of the Week 7 bye is don’t trade your studs to other managers to plug holes. Stay calm and keep your studs. Even if it means a loss.
The second rule of the Week 7 bye is to trade for studs from other managers who need to plug a hole, desperate for a win. Take advantage of the situation.
And thirdly, under no circumstances are you to drop a stud player to plug a player for the win.
Stay ahead of everyone in your league and start to look ahead even further. Make a move now that could help you in Week 10 for instance.

Week 6 Recap
Another hot week of waivers keeps us rolling.
- Traps – Ben Roethlisberger and David Njoku
- Donovan Peoples-Jones was an obvious pick-up
- Hunter Henry continued his touchdown streak
- Darrel Williams got the lion’s share for KC
- Amon-Ra St. Brown saw another 7 targets
The Bullseyes – Week 6
Darrel Williams, RB, Kansas City Chiefs
If you claimed Darel Williams last week there is a good chance you played him due to the amount of running backs that had been ruled out. He didn’t disappoint.
Week 6: 21 attempts, 62 yards; 2 touchdowns, 3/4 catches 27 yards; 23.90 Fantasy Points
Roll Darrel Williams out with confidence next week also as the Chiefs travel to Tennessee. If he hasn’t been claimed yet use some FAAB to get him or your priority waiver claim.
Donovan Peoples-Jones, WR, Cleveland Browns
Donovan Peoples-Jones has seen back-to-back games of 5+ targets now. His talent shined throughout the summer training camps and now he is just out-performing the current crop of receivers.
Week 5: 5/6 catches, 70 yards; 12.00 Fantasy Points
Week 6: 4/5 catches, 101 yards, 2 touchdowns; 26.10 Fantasy Points
With both Browns’ running backs injured, we could see a more potent throwing offense in the next few weeks. I wouldn’t go crazy trying to obtain Peoples-Jones with FAAB. But if you think his role can continue to grow then he is a must-add.

The Obvious
Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Miami Dolphins
Sure, the Miami Dolphins lost in London. But Tua made the most of his opportunities in his return from IR. Next up, he gets the Atlanta Falcons.
Tua threw for 329 yards from 47 attempts with 2 touchdowns. He also used his legs for 3 important scampers to gain first downs, rushing for 22 yards.
He is a streamer for Week 7. But Tua also gets the Texans in Week 9 followed by two future match-ups against the Jets.
D’Ernest Johnson, RB, Cleveland Browns
Both Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt are sidelined with calf injuries. These injuries are known to linger throughout the year. D’Ernest Johnson is the next man up. Johnson along with Demetric Felton are two guys you can use a decent amount of FAAB on.
However, hold expectations on both of them as the Browns’ two starting guards are also sidelined. Baker Mayfield may just want to start throwing it more. You are more stashing these backup running backs in case Chubb and Hunt miss further time throughout the course of the year.
Michael Carter, RB, New York Jets
Will this be the week we see Michael Carter get the lion’s share of touches for the New York Jets? It’s not uncommon to see teams go into their bye weeks and return with a rookie taking over a role full-time. We had Carter as a stash last week in hopes he comes back and assumes a big role for the Jets moving forward.
Rashod Bateman, WR, Baltimore Ravens
You can add Rashod Bateman if you’re in a deep league or stash him in your squad to see what becomes of the possession receiver. In his debut, he saw 65% of the Ravens snaps and that number will increase as the weeks go on.

The Bold
Marquez Callaway, WR, New Orleans Saints
Marquez Callaway was a bold add in last week’s waiver edition. He remains here. We can’t be relying on Week 5 stats for consistent fantasy production in the future.
Week 5: 4/8 catches 85 yards, 2 touchdowns; 24.50 Fantasy Points
The Saints have Michael Thomas also returning. Whether that aids Marquez Callaway to get open more is hard to say. He’s worth a roster add in a deep league. But that’s about it.

Rhamondre Stevenson, RB, New England Patriots
Nico Collins, WR, Houston Texans
The Stashes
Trevor Lawrence, QB, Jacksonville Jaguars
The yardage is there. The touchdowns will come. Trevor Lawrence threw the rock 41 times for 319 yards and a touchdown. The Jags get the bye week but the schedule does get favorable for Trevor and his Jags. They return against a comfortable matchup, the Seattle Seahawks in Week 8.
Ty’Son Williams, RB, Baltimore Ravens
The first time Ty’Son Williams was made a surprised inactive, it was Week 4 against the Denver Broncos. In Week 6, it came as a surprise again. But this time I am curious! Could it be a possible trade is looming? We already know several teams had been reaching out to the Baltimore Ravens about their running backs. Could this be the reason he was made a late inactive Week 6?
Stash and hope in deep league formats only.
Michael Thomas, WR, New Orleans Saints
The Saints return from their bye-week. But it’s the Michael Thomas news everyone is waiting for. He is eligible to return after spending 6 weeks on PUP.
What will be your strategy? Will you acquire him and stash him on waivers? Make a trade for him on name value? That’ll be expensive! Or the wait patiently approach with MT on your roster or watching from afar as another manager to see what avails?

Michael Gallup, WR, Dallas Cowboys
There is enough volume from Dak Prescott‘s arm to service any WR from the Dallas Cowboys. Michael Gallup should fill back into the role that Cedrick Wilson has been playing since he departed in Week 2.
Cedrick Wilson since Week 2: 11/16 catches, 2 touchdowns
Cedrick Wilson has also been averaging over 50% of the snaps for the Cowboys who also have to accommodate Amari Cooper, CeeDee Lamb, and Dalton Schultz in WR sets.
Pat Freiermuth, TE, Pittsburgh Steelers
In Week 5 we named Pat Freiermuth as an obvious pickup candidate. His role in the Steelers offense is becoming more clear and in Week 6 he had his most productive performance to date.
Week 6: 7/7 catches 58 yards 12.80 Fantasy Points
The Steelers have the bye in Week 7. However, if you’re after a TE to help you finish the season, this could be your last chance to get the second round 2021 draft pick into your squad.

The Traps
Marlon Mack, RB, Indianapolis Colts
Marlon Mack was mentioned in an earlier edition of the IDPGuys offense waiver editions. He was also mentioned as a trap as well.
The trade deadline is looming and he could get traded. But I’m not exactly excited at the fact that the Indianapolis Colts announced he was available to trade weeks ago and still remains rostered.
He’s a great player, but history is against players returning from Achilles injuries.
T.Y. Hilton, WR, Indianapolis Colts
T.Y. Hilton or ‘TY Houston’ returned in Week 6 from a stint on IR. He made a few splash plays but is a deep league roster add only. Even then I wouldn’t consider adding him. The WRs stud days are well behind him. Try and sell high if you do have him!
Week 6: 4/4 catches 80 yards; 13.00 Fantasy Points
