It can be hard to find sleepers each week. Let’s take a look at some players who could produce in the offensive sleepers Week 8 edition!
If there is a last-minute injury, you may need to scramble to find a player to substitute. That is when this weekly article on offensive sleepers comes in handy. I use Sleeper’s rostered percentage before the Thursday night game to look for offensive sleepers and use anyone under 35% owned. Check out the offensive sleepers Week 8 edition!
In Week 7, 2 of 4 sleepers outproduced their projected ranking and but Geno Smith and Nico Collins only outperformed by a few spots, so not any big winners from last week.
David Johnson, RB, Houston Texans – 30.0% Rostered
Mark Ingram was traded to the New Orleans Saints, so the Houston Texans will have a new lead back. Phillip Lindsay has yet to get over 30% of the offensive snaps, while David Johnson has had over 40% of snaps 5 of 7 games. Johnson has received six targets two of the last three games and that should increase against the Rams this week.
Gerald Everett, TE, Seattle Seahawks – 24.1% Rostered
Gerald Everett missed two games because of Covid but has had over 40 receiving yards in two of his last three games. Everett gets a good matchup against the Jaguars who in two of the last three games have allowed 24 and 19 points to opposing starting TEs.
Kalif Raymond, WR, Detroit Lions – 6.9% Rostered
The Detroit Lions are seventh in the NFL in pass attempts because of trailing in so many games and have been looking for pass catchers to stand out with injuries. Kalif Raymond has shown consistency getting six or more targets in three of the last four games. Raymond’s fantasy output three of the last four games has been 19.6, 9.7, and 17.6.
Mack Hollins, WR, Miami Dolphins – 0.0% Rostered
Since Tua Tagovailoa has come back the offense has shown improvement even in two losses. Mack Hollins has shown chemistry in those games with 8 targets and fantasy outputs of 10.10 and 9.3. The Dolphins play the Bills so they will need to pass to keep up. This is definitely more of a deep sleeper and with fewer byes this week, this is a flex play only for those who have been hit by injuries.
Conclusion
Those are my top offensive sleeper candidates going into the eighth week of the NFL season who are not highly rostered. With Covid protocols, you never know when someone is not going to be inactive on game day. These offensive sleepers could help you fill in your starting lineups for week eight.
