More IDP Players to Avoid at Current Cost 2025

“IDP players to avoid at their current cost. If they fall in your drafts, do not avoid them.”

IDP players to avoid at a cost will be the top-ranked by position who are not performing at their ranking. They are not players to avoid at all costs. They will score points, and most will be worthy of roster spots on your championship teams. Some of these avoidances will be due to consistency, some will be due to age, and others will be due to new blood on the rosters.

DE/Edge – Micah Parsons – Dallas Cowboys

Parsons could soon be the highest-paid non-quarterback in the NFL. This does not mean he should be the highest-ranked IDP player. He is ranked #6 in tier 1 for all DE/Edge players on FantasyPros.com. Parsons has posted 12 or more sacks in each of his four seasons. He has also posted as many as 84 tackles in a season. In the splash play categories, Parsons has career numbers of 63 tackles for a loss, 112 QB hits, 9 forced fumbles, and 4 fumble recoveries. These are all very nice statistics that should land him the incredible contract.

There is a problem with believing that McKinney can repeat his 2024 season. He will regress in interceptions. McKinney has played all 17 games in a season just three times in his five-year career. The 88 tackles in 2024 were his lowest total of those three seasons. Fewer interceptions and tackles are not a good combination to make it to the #6 ranked Safety for the 2025 season.
