Hopefully your lineups are set going into Sunday at this point. Maybe you have somebody out on injury, out an a BYE or just with a terrible matchup. Look here for you deep sleeper adds.

Linebacker

Dekoda Watson– San Francisco 49ers

Week 9: 4 Tackles (3 solo), one for a loss  with 1.5 scaks

Dekoda Watson was brought to the 49ers in the offseason with the new coaching regime. The 49ers were hoping Watson would add a nice speed pass rush to the edge. Unfortunately for them he was put on IR early in the season with a hamstring ailment.

Week 9 was his first game of the season and it looks like he was just what they needed. Before week 9 the 49ers totaled 16 sacks. Last week alone they had 8 sacks, 4 between Cassius Marsh and Dekoda Watson. This week the 49ers face the Giants who have given up 31 sacks which is 3rd most in the NFL. I see the pass rush for the 49ers feasting again. Watch Watson push the lineman into the QB with a speed rush:

Prediction: 4 Tackles, 2 tackle for a loss, 1 sack

Adarius Taylor– Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Week 9: 9 Tackles (4 solo)

Adarius Taylor was an undrafted free agent for the Panthers in 2014. He joined the Buccaneers in 2015 as linebacker depth and to be a special teamer. Taylor was firmly behind Pro Bowl linebackers LaVonte David and Kwon Alexander in the rotation. In week 7 Kwon Alexander tore his ACL. Enter Adarius Taylor…

Taylor has played well in the 3 weeks he filled in for Alexander.  He has racked up 19 tackles (10 solo), 1 tackle for a loss and a sack. Although the Redskins, who he faces in week 10, only give up the 23rd most points to linebackers, their offense more or less caters to linebackers. They run two TE sets, make plenty of throws to RB’s, and run smash ball football up the gut with Adrian Peterson. With LaVonte David dropping in coverage in opens up opportunities for a number of tackles for Taylor.

Prediction: 7 Tackles (5 solo) and 2 tackles for a loss

Defensive Back

Buster Skrine– New York Jets

Week 9: 6 Tackles and 1 pass deflection

Buster Skrine has put up years of solid football, be with the Browns or the Jets. He has had a productive season thus far for the Jets. What he has lacked in the pass coverage numbers he has made up for it with sure tackling. He has 29 tackles with 27 of those being solo. This is while missing two games as well.

Skrine has posted 5 or more tackles in three out of seven games. In two of the four games he missed that number he was able to come up with a pass defection. This week he gets the dream matchup against the Bills who have given up the 7th most fantasy points to CB’s. Skrine is a veteran and will most likely be able to capitalize on the many mistakes whichever QB the Bills deploy this week.

Prediction: 5 tackles, 1 pass deflection, 1 interception

Michael Davis– Los Angeles Chargers

Week 9: 9 Tackles (8 solo)

Michael Davis was a backup 2nd year undrafted free agent for the Chargers. After playing well recently Davis has forced the Chargers hand and moved into the starting lineup replacing Trevor Williams. In his first start of his career he finished with 9 total tackles, quite impressive first game.

This week Davis gets the Oakland Raiders who have been terrible. This bodes well for Davis as a CB. Since the Chargers offense is quite potent they will most likely be up by quite a bit. Carr does not have a number one target and Davis could see quite a few targets come his way as they try to test the new starter.

Prediction: 6 tackles and 2 pass deflections.

Defensive Line

Cassius Marsh- San Francisco 49ers

Week 9: 4 Tackles (3 solo), 2 tackles for a loss, 2.5 sacks

Cassius Marsh has been reoccurring in my articles this week. First I am a 49ers fan, second the pass rush looked great last week. With Dekoda Watson’s return the two have formed an excellent 1-2 punch on the edge while DeForest Buckner pushes up the middle.

The 49ers also play the Giants and immobile Eli Manning. They have given up 31 sacks as I stated above this season and Marsh should be able to make light work of the makeshift offensive line the Giants are going to deploy. Watch this constant pressure forced by Marsh:

Prediction: 3 tackles. 2 tackles for a loss, 2 sacks

Jack Crawford– Atlanta Falcons

Week 9: 4 Tackles, 2 tackles for a loss, 2 sacks

Jack Crawford has formed a great pass rushing duo with Grady Jarrett the past few weeks. In Crawford’s last 3 games he has 8 total tackles, 4 tackles for a loss and 4 sacks. They add Bruce Irvin to the group and there isn’t one person on the defensive line you need to watch… it’s all of them.

Crawford goes up against the Browns this week. The Browns have given up the most sacks in the NFL this season and the loss of Joe Thomas is showing in a major way. With how good Crawford has played these past few weeks I could definitely see him getting to Baker Mayfield. Mayfield should see a lot of this on Sunday:

Prediction: 2 Tackles, 1 tackle for a loss, 1 sack

That was my late week dart throw adds who can actually make an impact this week. Some have a chance to stay in your starting lineups the rest of the season as well. Keep your eyes on them and hopefully this helped those in late week need.
