“All eyes are on the Top surprise NFL Quarterback that will be a Fantasy Football playoff winner & Strong Prop Bet Money Maker!”
Whether we’re looking to make or break our Fantasy Football playoff run or looking to bet on esports at Thunderpick. We have to suggest riding the hot hand when we can get it. And there is no doubt this quarterback has been smoldering and now has one great playoff run ahead of him.
Russell Wilson – Pittsburgh Steelers
Since taking back over the starting job in Pittsburgh, Russell Wilson has been on fire. Wilson has totaled 73 completions on 121 attempts (60.33% completion rate) for 942 passing yards, 6 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions. And earning a passer rating of 94.4. He has been sacked 12 times for 70 yards, and his rushing stats include 14 attempts for 14 yards (1.00 yards per attempt) with 1 rushing touchdown. He’s also run in one score over the last four games. And in the process of just as long a winning streak, he’s earned a well above-par grade of 71.3 via PFF. Wilson has had plenty of rest and has a very nice outlook ahead on paper.
At least according to our IDP+ numbers currently, here are the following points via production-allowed matchup rankings versus his opponents
Week:
12 vs Browns – 8th
13 at Bengals – 7th
14 vs Browns – 8th
15 at Eagles – 25th
16 at Ravens – 3rd
17 vs Chiefs – 16th
Playing The Eagles Versus Playing The Chiefs
A little interesting fact about the Eagles game may give it plenty of upside for Wilson to overachieve in a pinch. It’s been over six decades since the Steelers last secured a victory in Philadelphia, dating back to 1965, but this 60-year-old streak could be at risk as they prepare to face the Eagles in Week 15. Under the guidance of Mike Tomlin, the Steelers demonstrate a relentless spirit, not always the smoothest on the field, yet boasting an impressive 8-2 record and an undefeated 4-0 since Russell Wilson took the helm. Interestingly, the Eagles have never beaten Wilson, who holds a flawless 5-0 record against them with 10 touchdowns to just one interception. As the game approaches, either the Steelers will break their Philadelphia curse or the Eagles will overcome their Wilson hurdle; one way or another, barring a tie, a longstanding record will be challenged.
It’s not like Wilson hasn’t played the Chiefs before, he’s 2-4 overall against the Chiefs in his career. 1 – 1 as a Seahawk, and 1 – 3 with his last win as a Bronco last season. And at least at that point has the potential to shoot for a winner and Wilson overachieves through the rest of the season leading up to Week 17.
Looking Ahead…
So we’re not only looking at four great starts and one solid one in NFL week 17, but you also get three straight great matchups in the next three weeks. And we wonder how many fantasy football playoff runs he’ll save. That’s perfect for a late playoff push, not to mention a little side wager here and there. If Wilson can at least keep up the same pace as he has in what looks like favorable circumstances going forward, he certainly can not be overlooked for the rest of the season at this point.
