This is your DFS Minute for Week 8 in the NFL. Here are my lineups for Draftkings, Fanduel, and Owners Box for the Sunday slate of games.
May you find this week’s lineups to be helpful in putting some cash in your pockets. Last week for our DFS Minute Week Seven we had a good week utilizing Matt Ryan and Kyle Pitts. Don’t forget to check the honorable mentions each week for potential replacement options. Last week had AJ Brown in the mentions. Here are the DFS Minute Week 8 selections!
Quarterback
Joe Burrow, QB Fanduel/Draftkings $7,800/$7,100
Joe Burrow had a monster game in week seven with over four hundred yards passing and three touchdowns. The concern of Burrow having to shake off any fear of re-injury has seemingly passed. The Bengals quarterback has a great matchup against the New York Jets this week. I am expecting another 300-yard game with two to three touchdowns.
Running Backs
D’Andre Swift, RB, Fanduel/Draftkings $7,900/$7,100
Khalil Herbert, RB, Fanduel $6,500/$5,400
If you have followed along in the DFS Minute articles or videos as the season has progressed you will find a healthy amount of D’Andre Swift in my lineups. Swift may not get workhorse carries but his involvement in the passing game makes him an every-week play.
I was hesitant to play Khalil Herbert last week due to the return of Damien Williams, but the Bears gave the carries to Herbert. If there is one player you can utilize from the Bears offense right now it seems to be Herbert. Herbert reached 100 yards last week and had five receptions. The Bears’ passing game is terrible. Expect the Bears to continue to run with Herbert.
Wide Receivers
Diontae Johnson, WR, Fanduel/Draftkings $7,500/$6,700
Stefon Diggs, WR, Fanduel/Draftkings $7,300/$8,100
Jaylen Waddle, WR, Fanduel $6.400
Jerry Jeudy, WR, Draftkings $4,900
Diontae Johnson is coming off a bye week. Johnson has only had one game with under ten targets and has had three games with nine catches each game. Ben Roethlisberger has kept the targets steady for Johnson and that should continue this week.
We have all waited for the Stefon Diggs we saw last season. The numbers have still been solid for Diggs, but the touchdowns have not been there. I think this is the week that changes. I have Diggs with six to nine catches, over 100 yards, and two touchdowns.
At the third wide receiver position, we are using a different player on each site. On Fanduel we will use Jaylen Waddle. Waddle has 17 catches total in his last two games and is a consistent play with Tua back. Jerry Jeudy has returned and the Broncos need someone to work the short and intermediate routes. Jeudy should be that guy.
Tight End/D/ST
C.J. Uzomah, TE, Fanduel/Draftkings $4,900$3,000
Titans, D/ST Fanduel/Draftkings $3,900/$2,600
C.J. Uzomah has been the definition of boom or bust this year at the tight end position. We are going to take the risk on Uzomah booming two weeks in a row. He may not be a target threat, however, the reward of getting a long touchdown at the tight end position far outweighs the risk.
Flex
Damien Harris, FLEX, Fanduel, $6,900
Russell Gage, FLEX, Draftkings $4,200
On Fanduel we are rolling with Damien Harris at the flex. In Draftkings it will be Russell Gage. Damien Harris has back-to-back 100-yard games and has totaled three touchdowns. The price is right on Harris. Russell Gage returned from injury and scored a touchdown. I like the Falcons pass offense moving forward and Gage should be a beneficiary for the price.
Values and Honorable Mentions
Ryan Tannehill, QB, Fanduel/Draftkings $7,500/$6,600
Elijah Mitchell. RB, Fanduel/Draftkings $5,800/$5,400
A.J. Brown, WR, Fanduel/Draftkings $7,600/$6,900
Michael Pittman Jr, WR, Fanduel/Draftkings $6,600/$5,300
Hunter Henry, WR, Fanduel/Draftkings $5,500/$4,200
I would not fault you for adding any of the above-mentioned players to your lineup this week. They all hold incredible value. If I were to try to switch it up at all, AJ Brown is the player I would get in my lineup.
