This is your DFS Minute for Week 3 in the NFL. Here are my lineups for Draftkings and Fanduel for the Sunday slate of games.
Anyone who plays Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) wants their share of the pie. May you find this week’s lineups to be helpful in putting some cash in your pockets. Last week for our DFS Minute Week 2, the Chargers/Cowboys game really put a damper on the lineups.
I fully expected that game to be a shootout. We hit big on Cooper Kupp and Adam Thielen had another six catches and a touchdown.
Quarterback
Kirk Cousins Draftkings/Fanduel $6,300/$7,700
Cousins is coming off a game against the Arizona Cardinals where he threw three touchdowns. The Vikings quarterback has thrown for 595 yards and five touchdowns so far this season. It’s safe to expect another game in which the Vikings are air it out to make up for their lack of defense.
Running Backs
Austin Ekeler Draftkings/FanDuel $7,000/$7,200
Clyde Edwards Helaire Draftkings/Fanduel $4,800/$6,500
Flex- Derrick Henry Draftkings/Fanduel $8,600/$9,700
Though Austin Ekeler has not run for many yards this season, he is coming off a nine-catch game against the Cowboys. The Chargers’ success in part, hinges on the involvement of Ekeler. You can expect to see Ekeler play a large role against the Chiefs this week.
I know Clyde Edwards-Helaire has not moved the needle for many this year, but at his current prices this week he is worth the risk. At some point the Chiefs will be forced to run the ball, it could be this week against the Chargers.
This week we are flexing Derrick Henry. The Titans running back is coming off a monster game against the Seattle Seahawks. He had 182 yards to pair with three touchdowns and six catches. Expect the Titans to have the ball most of the game if the Colts are forced to start a backup quarterback.
Wide Receivers
Cooper Kupp Draftkings/Fanduel $6,800/$7,900
Darnell Mooney Draftkings/Fanduel $4,300/$5,600
Mike Williams Draftkings/Fanduel $6.400/$6,000
Cooper Kupp had a great Week 1 but had an even better Week 2. The Los Angeles Rams receiver had 163 yards and two touchdowns. Kupp’s prices are still a great value on both sites. Until that changes or his production diminishes, he may be an every-week play.
We have all been waiting for Mike Williams to really breakout and justify being a viable fantasy asset. He started this season proving exactly that. Williams has 15 catches and two touchdowns to start the season. At the cost, this is a great week to put him in your lineup.
At some point, Darnell Mooney is going to be able to show how much of a deep threat he is. The Bears are turning to Justin Fields this week and that favors Mooney. Mooney’s injury will be worth monitoring until game time on Sunday.
Tight End
Pat Freiermuth – Draftkings, $3,000/Fanduel, $4,600
I know Pat Freiermuth isn’t jumping off the page to anyone, especially when it comes to DFS play, but I firmly believe a breakout is coming. I am all about getting ahead of the breakout and taking advantage of it where you can. Freiermuth may be worth the risk this week.
D/ST
Titans D – Draftkings $2,400
Raiders D – Fanduel $4,000
Values and Honorable Mentions
Daniel Jones, Draftkings/Fanduel $5,800/$7,400
Ty’Son Williams, Draftkings/Fanduel $5,800/$6,400
Mike Evans Draftkings/Fanduel $6,300/$7,100
Sterling Shepard, Draftkings/Fanduel $5,900/$6,400
T.J. Hockenson, Draftkings/Fanduel $5,200/$6,300
I would not fault you for adding any of the above-mentioned players to your lineup this week, as they all hold incredible value. If I were to switch it up at all, Hockenson would be the guy I would try to squeeze in a lineup somewhere.
