Are there too many IDP starting lineup decisions for you this week? Can not decide which linebacker or edge rusher to start? Which safety gets the nod this week?”
This will not be the typical ‘obvious starters’ type of article. Always start your studs like Maxx Crosby, Roquan Smith, and Budda Baker. What needs to be shared is who we start and sit out of the not-so-obvious players. You will not see the Top 10-ranked players in these articles because we all already know to start these players. These players could be ranked #11 or #37.

Week 1 – DL/Edge Starters –
Carl Granderson – New Orleans Saints
Check your leagues and see who the #1 scoring DL/Edge is in your IDP Leagues. If it isn’t Granderson, he is very close to the top. In Week 3, the Saints visit the Seahawks. The Seahawks are split right down the middle with rushing and passing attempts. They have allowed three sacks in their first two games. Granderson has 13 tackles (10 solo), 4 tackles for a loss, 4 QB hits, 3.5 sacks, and 2 passes defended.
Week 1 – DB Sits –
Jaquan Brisker – Chicago Bears
Brisker has not been dominant this year against the first two opponents of the Vikings and Lions. The #12-ranked DB, according to FantasyPros, has had a #105 performance and a #30 performance among DBs. That has him at the #29 ranked scoring Safety and #57 ranked DB season to date. The Bears play host to the Cowboys in Week 3.
Josh Metellus – Minnesota Vikings
Metellus has not been producing this year like years past. Playing time is not the issue, as he is playing 97% of the defensive snaps. The last two years have been triple-digit tackles for him. Metellus is on pace for just 76 tackles this season if he stays on the current pace of 4.5 tackles per game. His only other stat is one pass defended. The Vikings host the Bengals this week, and the #110-ranked DB in scoring on the season looks to have another long, disappointing game. He does not deserve the #16 DB ranking by FantasyPros just yet.
