Let’s tackle some buy/hold/sell players that can help get you to the Championship. Or maybe you want to start setting your squad up for the 2025 season. Either way, don’t stand pat and let Week 16 IDP Dynasty Players pass you by on the waiver wire or trade block. No moves usually mean no championships… Ever!
Week 16 IDP Dynasty Buys
DT – Adam Butler – Las Vegas Raiders
This 30-year-old DT is having a career year this year. He has not missed a game in three years and he has played 78% of the defensive snaps this year. Butler has posted 57 tackles (32 solo), 7 tackles for a loss, and 3.5 sacks this year. He has been extremely productive over his last five games. In these last 5 games combined, Butler has produced 23 tackles (11 solo), 6 tackles for a loss, 5 QB hits, 3.5 sacks, and 1 pass defended.
His next two opponents are the Jacksonville Jaguars in Las Vegas and then at the New Orleans Saints. Both of these opponents will be playing backup QBs. If you are in need of a DT or DL due to injury, Butler is the 4th ranked scoring DT over the last 3 weeks combined, and 6th ranked scoring DL.
DE/Edge – Nik Bonitto – Denver Broncos
If you haven’t tried obtaining Bonitto yet, don’t wait any longer. He is the #1 scoring DE/Edge player of the past three weeks combined and he has played just two of those games. That is how dominant he has been. He has a sack in all but four games this year, and one of those four games credited him with a half sack. Bonitto has an interception returned for a touchdown and a fumble recovery returned for a touchdown. We keep waiting for him to have a fallback to reality and it is just not happening.
If trades are still available in your leagues, which they should be in all Dynasty Leagues, try and obtain him. He just turned 25 a couple of months ago and this is just his third year in the league. Use the fact that he plays just 58% of the defensive snaps and there is no way he can keep up this kind of production, and steal him.
