We finally made it, folks! It’s Week 1 of the NFL season! All of the hard work you spent researching and drafting your teams is finally going to come to fruition when the games start to matter. As a general rule of thumb, you do not want to overthink your starting rosters for Week 1. You play the studs you drafted to be your studs. That being said, we’re always looking for every edge we can get. This is the first of a weekly “IDP Sleepers” article, aiming to give you a weekly edge against your opponents.

Let’s start things off by setting some expectations for this article. What this article will NOT be doing is telling you to expect big things from the “stars” of IDP. Projecting that Maxx Crosby or T.J. Watt is going to have a great week isn’t really rocket science, nor will that help you. What this article WILL be doing is giving you players that have a great chance to outperform their weekly ranking. Ok, enough logistics! Let’s get to our Week 1 IDP Sleepers!

Harold Landry – New England Patriots (DL17)
Week 1 Opponent: Hosting the Las Vegas Raiders.
Let’s begin this article with a player who has found a new home in the off-season: Harold Landry. Landry has found himself reunited with Mike Vrabel in New England and will look to kick off this next phase of his career with a bang. Landry isn’t the biggest sleeper in this article, as he’s ranked as DL17, but there is 100% top-10 upside with the Patriots’ matchup against the Raiders.
