We’re fully into rookie evaluations and it’s time to discuss the top rookie Edge in 2024. Edges are the core of a dynasty IDP roster. So who’s the top rookie Edge in 2024?

For anyone newer to dynasty, maybe the above isn’t how you are used to playing IDP. Well, time to change. LBs and DBs are so variable from year to year because they depend on their role to post stats. Edges, on the other hand, are truly a skill-based IDP spot. So who is my top rookie edge in the 2024 class? Let’s dive into former Florida State edge Jared Verse.

Jared Verse Player Outlook

Former Florida State pass rusher Jared Verse posted some of the strongest production of the class in just two years of playing in Tallahassee. Before that, he was playing for Albany for two years. Many might question why he had to redshirt there, but Verse was a TE convert who Albany redshirted while teaching him how to play edge.

After a COVID-shortened year where Verse posted four sacks in four games, Verse hit nine sacks each of his last three years. Verse was in the backfield a lot and his high-level athleticism shows up. He’s still raw but his power and length give him a crazy high ceiling.

Fantasy Impact Notes

Jared Verse has all the looks of a future star for IDP managers. The only thing he lacks is elite bend for the position, but he’s got everything else. The power to hold up against the run and push the pocket. The length to be a disruptor. Elite-level athleticism, he tested on par with last year’s top IDP edge Will Anderson.

He’s a bit raw still, as he’ll need to learn more refined pass-rushing techniques. His hustle is absolutely incredible, see him chasing RBs way down the field for a tackle. Coaches will love him, and it’ll keep him on the field. Just be patient, remember he’s still new to the position.
