Edge Rushers are critical to IDP success. It’s time to take an early look at the top 12 dynasty Edge Rushers for next season!

It is crazy to think that we have come to the end of the 2023 fantasy football season! What an amazing year it was, but now it is time to think about 2024!!! In today’s installment of the “Early Top 2024 IDP Rankings” we will dive into the top 12 dynasty Edge Rushers. There were some great performances and some duds, but overall Edge pass Rushers ended pretty close to where they started, with a lot of potential for change in 2024.

There are some phenomenal young rushers in the league today, but also still some great veterans. What rushers are some of the best bets to break out or maintain? Let’s get into the edge defenders rankings below and find out!

12. Brian Burns – Carolina Panthers

For the last spot in this dynasty top 12 article, I wanted to go with a “call your shot” type on an upside player. The call came between some players with flaws, like Jermaine Johnson (snap share), Rashan Gary (injury and inconsistency), or Chase Young (injury, inconsistency, Free Agency). In the end, Brian Burns gets the call, coming off a disappointing season. Burns dropped to 48 total tackles and 7 sacks, down from an average of 57 tackles and 9.5 sacks over the prior 3 seasons.

His season snap total of 76% is not the full story, as he was under 75% of snaps only twice on the season. Carolina should improve, giving him more opportunities to rush the passer (53rd in rush snaps amongst Edges per PFF). He is a talented rusher and strong run defender, so is a rebound candidate in 2024 and beyond.

11. Haason Reddick – Philidelphia Eagles

After a dominant 2022, Haason Reddick had a down 2023 with only 11 sacks. The sack total kept Reddick relevant, but he was massively inconsistent throughout the season. He saw at least two-thirds of snaps (per our snap tool) every week before Week 18, giving him a great baseline, but had his lowest tackle total since his rookie season. His pressure rate dropped, but was still top 15 in that metric (per PFF). His pass-rush talent on what should be a good team going forward is worthy of an Edge1 pick.
