Quarterback is the most important position in the NFL and for dynasty fantasy football. Whether you play in 1QB or Superflex/2QB leagues, we will discuss the latest dynasty rankings with rookies! This list should help your startup drafts or trades to create a competitive team for 2024 and beyond!
Coming into 2024, the quarterback position has never been so deep. You could argue that you could draft a potential top-10 quarterback in the second or third round in a super flex league and grab a premier wide receiver instead. The 2024 rookie class only adds value with the likes of Caleb Williams and Drake Maye. With new coaching regimes, free agency and rookie class, this is the latest Tier List.

Quarterback Tier 1
Josh Allen
Josh Allen comes in as my number-one quarterback in dynasty fantasy football. In the last five seasons, Allen has finished number one in four out of those five. He can produce fantasy points in the air or on the ground. His rushing ability and red zone threat allow him to consistently be the best fantasy quarterback. There will be a lot of questions coming into 2024 with the new receiving corps after losing Stefon Diggs and Gabriel Davis this off-season. Buffalo still has Khalil Shakir, signed Curtis Samuel, and drafted Keon Coleman at the 33rd pick (first pick of the second round). Until Allen’s legs fall off, he is still number one.
Patrick Mahomes
Patrick Mahomes is the most talented passer in the league and it shows in fantasy as well. He has seen changes in his receiving corps unlike Josh Allen has in recent seasons, yet he is still a top-five fantasy quarterback in the last seven seasons. He may not have the same rushing ability as Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson, but he can throw consistently over 4,000 yards and has averaged 31 passing touchdowns a season. There is even more excitement coming into 2024 where he will have Travis Kelce, newly signed Hollywood Brown, Rashee Rice, and rookie Xavier Worthy. Expect another 4,000-yard season and over 30 passing touchdowns again.
Lamar Jackson
When healthy, Lamar Jackson is a top-five quarterback in fantasy. His rushing ability brings an elite performance and his growth as a passer only adds value. In the last five seasons, Lamar has rushed for 760 yards or more in each and averages five rushing touchdowns. Lamar is also an elite fantasy talent because of a lack of turnovers and sacks. The Ravens have continued to put effort into adding talent at the receiving position and 2024 looks to be his best group. He will have second-year Zay Flowers, Mark Andrews, Rashod Bateman, and rookie Tez Walker.
Jalen Hurts
After Jalen Hurts‘ rookie year, he has been a completely different player. Since his sophomore season, he has averaged double-digit touchdowns on the ground along with 716 rushing yards. He has finished as fantasy QB9, QB3, and QB2 in the last three seasons and that has even been with the carousel of offensive coordinator changes. Having the strong receiving corps in AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith signed to extensions only adds to the value of Jalen for years to come. The Eagles are making sure he is in a position of success they even added Saquon Barkley which will allow Hurts to see better coverages as well.
Quarterback Tier 2
C.J. Stroud
The future looks bright for the NFL. C.J. Stroud came into the season as the second quarterback off the board but played as if he had been in the league for 10 years. Stroud was able to elevate a Houston team that was 3-13-1, 4-13, and 4-12 since losing Deshaun Watson to 10-7 and making the playoffs.
Stroud finished just outside of the top 10 in fantasy last season but was able to throw for over 4,000 yards and 23 passing touchdowns. Coming into this season, he will have newcomer Joe Mixon in the backfield, Tank Dell, Nico Collins, Stefon Diggs, and Dalton Schultz. The only facet of his game that could affect his fantasy stock is his rushing ability.
Joe Burrow
Joe Burrow comes into the season with some question marks. The biggest are the injury concerns, being able to stay healthy, and having a long tenure in the NFL. The other concern is the receiver room. He has his number one in Ja’Marr Chase coming into 2024 without any issues but his other receiver Tee Higgins has requested a trade. With that said, Burrow’s talent is elite and he still when healthy is a top-10 fantasy quarterback. I fully expect a healthy Burrow and he should continue his success into 2024 and beyond.
Jordan Love
What a season Jordan Love had in his first full start! He finished as fantasy QB5 throwing over 32 touchdowns and 4 rushing touchdowns. There were a lot of question marks about Love coming into the 2023 season and that was quickly squashed after a successful 2024. He now comes into another off-season as the starter with a great young receiving corps led by Christian Watson and Jayden Reed.
Caleb Williams
Our first rookie on the list is none other than Caleb Williams. Coming into the NFL, he is highly touted and has very high expectations. He lands in Chicago where he has one of the better casts around a rookie quarterback in recent history. Has leadership in the receiving room in Keenan Allen and an explosive big-play WR in DJ Moore. Williams will also have a running back by committee behind him led by D’Andre Swift. Caleb easily becomes the 1.01 in many rookie drafts in super flex and it’s easy to see why.
Quarterback Tier 3
Justin Herbert
With elite talent, tier 3 isn’t where you would expect Justin Herbert. The concern for Herbert coming into 2024 and beyond has to be the regime change for the Los Angeles Chargers itself. No longer does Herbert have Austin Ekeler, Keenan Allen, or Mike Williams.
Now coming into the season, he has Ladd McConkey, Quentin Johnston, and Josh Palmer. Herbert has proven his value in fantasy, before the injury last season, he had finished as fantasy QB9, QB2, and QB11, averaging over 4,600 yards passing and 31 passing touchdowns. Expect the running game to have more of a presence and an adjustment in the passing game as well.
Brock Purdy
What an amazing season for Mr. Irrelevant, Brock Purdy, finishing as QB6 in fantasy and leading the league in QBR. Purdy is in a great situation in San Francisco with the supporting cast he has. Even with that, he made plays beyond just the game script. He threw for 31 touchdowns and over 4,200 passing yards. Purdy looks to improve upon that coming into his second full season as the starter. Having Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel allow him to be successful as well as the 49ers drafting Ricky Pearsall in the first round this year.
Jared Goff
The Lions are playing some of their best football and a larger thanks to their quarterback Jared Goff. Goff has played lights out since being traded to Detroit and with the added offensive pieces such as Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jahmyr Gibbs, and Sam LaPorta, Goff should continue to have long-term success. Goff in the last two years has finished as fantasy QB7 and QB10 passing over 4,440 in the last two years. Going into another season in this offense, Goff could be QB5 or higher. His age is the only concern when it comes to dynasty, otherwise he is a top quarterback going forward.
Dak Prescott
Speaking of age, Dak Prescott is coming into his 8th season and is now in his 30s. In dynasty leagues, age will always play a factor in rankings. Other reasons Prescott is a little lower than some may expect in fantasy are the offensive line changes and the running back situation in Dallas. The Cowboys are coming into 2024 with the same receiving corps but lost some faces in the running back room.
Prescott is coming off his best statistical season and will be forced into plenty of passing situations, allowing him a chance to finish as QB5 or higher. Contract talk and lack thereof throws doubt and cloudiness as to what to expect for Dak in the future.
Anthony Richardson
Anthony Richardson‘s rookie season was cut short by injury, but before losing him for the season, he showed promise. In the three games he did play, he was fantasy QB4, QB19, and QB2, with most of the fantasy value coming in the running game. He had four rushing touchdowns averaging over 35 yards on the ground. He comes into the season with some great receiving talent in Michael Pittman Jr, Josh Downs, Alec Pierce, and Indy’s newest receiver the rookie Adonai Mitchell. I expect Richardson’s rushing value to still be there with the passing aspect to grow throughout his young career.
Trevor Lawrence
Continuing in the AFC South division, we are talking about Trevor Lawrence. The talented quarterback now goes into his fourth season and went a little backward in 2023. He did deal with an injury that caused him to miss a little bit of time but the concern for Lawrence was the turnovers and sacks he was taking.
The offensive line was a priority for the Jaguars to help keep their franchise quarterback upright. This allows Lawrence to show off his talent and continue to prove doubters he is an elite quarterback in the league. In the last two seasons, Lawrence has averaged over 4,000 passing yards and has been a threat on the ground scoring nine rushing touchdowns. I love the addition of Brian Thomas Jr in the draft allowing Lawrence to have a great WR2 behind Christian Kirk.
Tua Tagovailoa
Tua Tagovailoa cracked the top ten in fantasy after playing his first full season. In the past, Tua dealt with injuries causing concern for his future in the NFL. It was great to see him play a full season and show off his potential in Mike McDaniel‘s offense. Having elite speed in Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, allows Tua to show off his deep ball accuracy and ability to read different coverages. Health will continue to be something to monitor for Tua, but he has shown he can be QB1 for your fantasy football team for years to come.
