IDP players to avoid at cost will be the top 20 ranked by position that will not be a top 20 performing IDP player. They are not players to avoid at all costs. They will score points, and most will be worthy of roster spots on your championship teams. Some of these avoidances will be due to consistency, some will be due to age, and others will be due to new blood on the rosters.

2025 IDP to Avoid at Current Cost
DE/Edge – Myles Garrett – Cleveland Browns
Garrett seems to find his way on this IDP Players to Avoid list every year. He will give you that game-winning performance one week and then a big fat goose egg the next week. There is no doubt about the talent of Garrett. Garrett was second in the NFL in Sacks with 14 in 2025. In fact, he has had double-digit sacks in the last seven years straight. Garrett has also posted 20 forced fumbles in his eight-year career. Because of these numbers, fantasypros.com has the 29-year-old Garrett ranked as the #2 DE/Edge in their dynasty rankings.
These will be the numbers as to why you will not make Garrett the #2 DE/Edge selected in your drafts. His career high in tackles is just 60 back in 2022. He has broken 50 tackles just twice in his eight-year career. DE/Edge players need to produce more tackles if they are to be ranked #2 overall. Garrett delivered eight points or less to your IDP squad five times in 2024. He posted two big fat zeros for you. Garrett was the #7 overall scoring DE/Edge in 2024, but #15 in average score per week. 2023 was more of the same, with five games of nine points or less scored. He delivered one more goose eggs also. Garrett was the #19 overall DE/Edge with a #21 ranking for weekly average scoring.
