It has been an active 2023 off-season for the New York Giants. Their Super Bowl odds have not changed, and additional value can be had with targeted football cards.
A few weeks back, I listed the New York Giants as a possible “value pick” to win the 2023 Super Bowl. At the time, Big Blue was tagged with +4000 odds to win the championship. Since then, this line has not moved at all. The majority of online sports books that I have seen still show the same +4000 line.
The team has retained team leaders such as Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley. GM Joe Schoen has addressed defense by signing former Colts linebacker Bobby Okereke. (NYG have been trying to stabilize their core linebackers for over 2,000 years!) Fans are also looking forward to some exciting two tight end sets with the addition of Darren Waller.
As a former offensive assistant for the New England Patriots, Coach Brian Daboll has some experience managing players like Aaron Hernandez and Rob Gronkowski. I look forward to seeing how such experiences will play out with Daniel Bellinger & Darren Waller.
If you liked NYG at +4000 but did not pull the trigger a few weeks back, the team is better, and you still get the same price tag. If you already have an NYG futures play and are looking for more action, why not look at some NY Giant football cards that can increase in value should the teams continue their on-field success?
The Right Football Cards are Assets
I am not a financial advisor or looking to provide financial advice. With that said, I think football cards are a great reason to hedge against NFL future bets. In 2020, lots of things were driven by the pandemic. In looking at sports cards, sales in this industry surged by 142% in 2020.
Today, it is not hard to find several different collectible sports shows popping off, and the social media smoke from these shows indicates that the fire still blazes.
My son pulled this out of box we bought at the Philly Sports Show this past weekend…probably one of our top cards we got now pic.twitter.com/ZgDXWVuSKg

What if Daniel Jones Continues to Progress?
We can pull comps on several rookie football cards on different players, but on average, I find the most valuable cards are based around the QB position. For this reason, I wanted to do a little bit of a comparison on Daniel Jones.
A solid and popular card of his is the 2019 Panini Prizm #302 Gem Mint PSA 10 card. For this card, I was able to take a look at “sold comps” from eBay.
December 2022 Sales
- 12.16.2022 = $32.31 + $4.90 Shipping Cost
- 12.30.2022 = $30.00 + $4.44 Shipping Cost
- 12.21.2022 = $26.00 + $4.45 Shipping Cost
March 2023 Sales
- 03.09.2023 = $49.00 + $5.25 Shipping Cost
- 03.11.2023 = $63.00 + $5.99 Shipping Cost
- 03.12.2023 = $74.99 + $5.00 Shipping Cost
If you would have purchased this card in December, your total cost would have been about $34.03. Buying the same asset in March 2023 would have been $67.74. This is a percent increase of 99.06 % over the course of about three months. What would this increase look like if the Giants perform well during the 2023 season?
ive been the biggest Daniel Jones fan for yrs..I have about 10 grand in Daniel Jones rookie cards..Ive always loved the kid..Im definetly not a hater..but honestly anything over 40 million and ill be slightly pissed off

The only point I want to make is that there are other fun ways to place a futures bet on the New York Giants. Football card as assets is the theme of the day!
