Dynasty Friday – IDP Buy/Hold/Sell – Week 10

Week 10 is here, and it is time to put up or shut up. Five games are likely left in your regular season. Let’s tackle some IDP dynasty buy/hold/sell players that can make or break your playoff run. Or maybe you want to start setting your squad up for the 2025 season. Either way, don’t stand pat and let IDP players pass you by on the waiver wire or trade block. No moves usually mean no championships… Ever.

DT – DaVon Hamilton – Jacksonville Jaguars

This is Hamilton’s fifth year in the league for the third-round pick out of Ohio State. His career-high numbers were posted in 2022 with 56 tackles and 2.5 sacks. Last year was a setback for Hamilton as he had a spinal abscess form during the preseason. He wound up missing the first half of the season and produced very little on the roughly 30% of the snaps in the seven games he did play in. This year then started out rough with a high game of just 2 tackles in any of the first six games. Then Week 7 happened, and he has posted a combined 16 tackles and 1 tackle for a loss in the last 3 games. Hamilton played 219 of the defensive snaps in the first seven weeks and has increased his snap production to 101 over the past 2 games. DT required leagues to have a new target to get on their rosters.

DE/Edge – Dante Fowler – Washington Commanders

Anyone following the NFL this season knows that the Commanders have a pretty good thing going. Fowler is no exception. After being drafted as the third overall pick back in the 2015 NFL draft by the Jaguars, his performance has not lived up to expectations. His fifth team in his career just might be the fountain of youth for the 30-year-old player. His career year to date was 2019 with the Los Angeles Rams where he posted 58 tackles, 16 tackles for a loss, and 11.5 sacks.

Fowler’s first couple of games in Washington were pretty quiet as he was getting used to the new defensive scheme and playing just 36% of the snaps in those games. Fowler seems to have found his place and his groove over the past 5 games with a combined 14 tackles, 7 tackles for a loss, 6 QB hits, 6 sacks, 1 forced fumble. 1 pass defended, and 1 interception for a TD. His defensive snap count has increased to 44%-61% of the snaps. This 30-year-old belongs on your roster if you are in contention either this year or next year. He is free.
