Jack Gibbens (lb) Tennessee Titans
Injury: Ankle Fracture
Injury Date: 11/17/2024
Expected Recovery Time: 4-6 months
Player to Target: LB Jerome Baker
Let’s kick off this NFL Week 12 injuries article on a sour note. Seeing a player’s season cut short is never a positive thing. This is especially true when the player is a rookie and playing well for their team. Titans LB Jack Gibbens is the poster child for this scenario. Currently fourth on the team in tackling, Gibbens has stepped up recently and has really been hitting his stride. In fact, he came into last week with back-to-back games with double-digit tackles.
Unfortunately, Gibbens’s rookie campaign has been cut short. He fractured his ankle early in the game last week and is set to undergo season-ending surgery. There was likely a dislocation with the fracture which would necessitate the surgery. With Gibbens on the mend the rest of the season, look for veteran LB Jerome Baker to step in and be productive. Baker has already shown throughout his career that he can be a tackling machine.
