AFC West NFL Best Player Prop Bets

With less than 2 days until Kickoff, it’s time to jump on these Best AFC West NFL Player Prop Bets!

2024 AFC West Player Prop Bets

With the NFC all wrapped up, it’s time we head on over to the Super Bowl-winning conference, the AFC. The offseason is quickly coming to a close as we are only ONE DAY out from the NFL Kickoff! The final chapter of the offseason is not just a great time for fantasy football, but it’s the perfect time to find value in the NFL betting markets. It’s time to put our projections to the test and our money where our mouth is!

The NFL Futures Player Props Series continues on with the AFC West. This is a division that has been dominated by Kansas City of late and is hard to project changing. The other teams in the division are true mysteries heading into this season with numerous head coach and QB changes. With mystery, comes opportunity. Here are my top four prop bets for the AFC West.

Joshua Palmer Over 700.5 Rec Yards (-115)

The first bet of this AFC West player prop article just makes too much sense. Joshua Palmer is the leading contender to be the Los Angeles Chargers 2024 WR1 in my opinion. Just look at the options around him!

Look, I know what you’re saying. “Why take a WR prop on a Jim Harbaugh-led team?”. I understand that Harbaugh is a run-first coach, but he also has Justin Herbert as his starting QB. Herbert’s arm talent is simply too much to ignore. The Chargers will have to throw the ball eventually, and I am betting on Palmer to be on the receiving end of most.

Joshua Palmer is a big play receiver heading into his fourth season. He also finds himself as the leading returning receiver on the roster despite only playing in 11 games. Los Angeles traded away all of their other skill players but made the conscious choice to keep Palmer for a reason. Averaging over 15 yards a catch last season, Palmer doesn’t need a crazy volume to go over this low number. I also like the additions to the offensive line to allow time for Herbert to find Palmer downfield.

Despite cleaning house this offseason, someone has to catch passes for this team this season. I am betting on Palmer to be the guy in a room full of unproven players. Give me Chargers WR Joshua Palmer OVER 700.5 Rec Yards at -115.

Courtland Sutton Over 5.5 Receiving Touchdowns +110

Let’s continue on this best player prop bets article with a player who models consistency. Denver Broncos WR Courtland Sutton has weathered the storm of AWFUL QB play and still produced at a high level. Despite playing with two QBs last season, Sutton managed to put up impressive numbers, especially in the receiving TD category.

With 10 receiving TDs last season, Sutton had more than double the amount of TDs than any other Bronco skill player. He has clearly established himself as the Alpha in the redzone and there is zero reason to believe this changes. Denver didn’t bring in any other big-name WRs and the players with the second and third-most receiving TDs from last season are gone.

With the Russell Wilson disaster situation last year, I like the QB position even better this season. Sean Payton has his guy in rookie QB Bo Nix and there is reason to be optimistic he can lead a competent offense. The Broncos are also projected to not be the best team this season. This means more situations where the team is playing behind and forced to throw.

I’m betting on Denver WR Courtland Sutton to continue to produce no matter his situation. Give me the OVER 5.5 Receiving TDs at +110.

Zamir White Over 800.5 Rush Yards (-105)

Ever since Antonio Pierce took over the team, the Las Vegas Raiders are running the damn ball. Pierce is a defensive head coach who realizes his limitations at the QB position. He wants to run the ball, control the clock, and play good defense.

A huge key to success with this coaching philosophy is having an RB1 to carry the load. Zamir White is that guy. I view White as the CLEAR RB1 on this depth. We all saw how the Alexander Mattison experiment worked out last season.

The Raiders sport an impressive offensive line that will be well-equipped to be leaned on. When given the opportunity, Zamir White did just that last season. In the Raider’s last four games with White leading the backfield, he rushed for 397 yards in just four weeks. White nearly reached the halfway mark of his season-long prop in just four games!

I am backing the Zamir White train and getting out of its way. I’ll gladly take Raiders RB Zamir White OVER 800.5 Rush Yards at -105.

Rashee Rice 7+ Receiving Touchdowns +300

This next player brings some controversy to this AFC West best player prop bets article. Kansas City Chiefs WR Rashee Rice is facing legal trouble for his offseason shenanigans. However, due to how late in the season his court date is, it is becoming more and more likely he won’t be suspended until next year.

This leaves me backing a player who I was frankly out on before his legal situation cleared up. Now, there is still some added risk of a suspension based on how his case goes but it seems unlikely at this point.

Looking at Rashee Rice as a player, I was thoroughly impressed with how quickly and consistently he shined last season. He was particularly impressive in the redzone, racking up 7 receiving TDs, which led the team.

Coming into year two with added chemistry with Patrick Mahomes, he has the opportunity for a special season. The Chiefs also project as a team that is going to have plenty of TDs to go around this season.

Despite the controversy, I think this number is too valuable to pass up. Give me Chiefs WR Rashee Rice 7+ Rec TDs +300.
