The New York Jets may have just saved their dream season. After another brutal Monday Night Football loss to the Buffalo Bills the team seemed to be on tilt. However, Joe Douglas just purchased a lottery ticket that has the fanbase feeling optimistic. Although the lottery ticket cost a little more than a dollar, the reunion of the duo has cost the Jets a conditional 2025 third-round pick. The pick being sent to the Las Vegas Raiders could become a second-rounder based on the performance of Adams’ and the Jets’.  Gang Green will also be paying Davante’s remaining salary.

The QB & WR tandem were tough to stop over the course of 8 years in Green Bay. Adams averaged 83.6 catches, 1,015 yards and 9 touchdowns per season. His counterpart, Mr. Rodgers, was not so bad himself. He was able to compile 3 additional NFL MVP awards while playing with Adams.

The future Hall of Fame quarterback seems to be feeling good! “To be able to have him back is really special. Tae and I have done a lot of great things over the years. He’s made me look good a lot of times. I’m really excited about it. I think it’s exciting for our team. We definitely go better today.

Rodgers was informed of the trade late Monday night. He and Adams texted and spoke after midnight. Adams was able to catch a redeye flight from Las Vegas to the Metropolitan area that night. He was in the Jets practice facility Tuesday morning taking his physical.

The newly acquired Jets wide out seems to be pumped up as well. “We’re back, man. We’re back. Should be able to pick up where we left off. That’s the idea.” It was no secret on how Davante wanted to play once again with Aaron Rodgers. The Jets were his first choice when he made his trade request. In fact, the Jets tried trading for Adams last year. The deal was not one the Raiders were interested in at the time.

Our New York Jets Conclusion

The Jets entered into the 2024 NFL season with lofty expectations. Obviously, things have not gone according to play for the team with Super Bowl expectations. The team is 2-4, Robert Saleh was fired a little over a week ago and they switched off shot-callers.

We expect a burst of energy with the addition of Adams, but will he be a solution to the Jets more recent time of trouble? He is coming off an injury and is already 31 years of age. We like the gamble but at the end of the season more heads will roll as the gamble will not pay off. Gang green fans have a better shot at winning the New York State Lottery than seeing a 2024 Jets championship.
