2023 was a breakout season for the pass rusher position. So gaining the early edge, here’s our dynasty 2024 edge-rusher IDP rankings by tiers. Check it out!
A few things happened last season while helping to organize these 2024 edge-rusher IDP rankings by tiers. One, more fantasy site combined 3-4 outside linebackers and 4-3 defensive ends as one. This led to a huge increase in our edge rusher player pool to at least twice the number of serviceable options. Second, the season also saw an unusual rise of new NFL players at the position in every tier.
Although the positional change had been in the making for the last few years, the timing was perfect. And the solid and deep 2023 rookie class also added to the excitement. Hence, before the NFL off-season activities completely kick off. Here are your early, and deeper dynasty Edge-Rusher IDP tiers for 2024, until further notice.
2024 Edge-Rusher IDP Fantasy Football Rankings Dynasty Tiers
One thing to note, we are projecting these dynasty rankings at a minimal 5-year window. Excluding many famous names of older NFL veterans from the list. So if you’re looking for guys like Kahlil Mack or Matt Judon. It’s highly likely it’s because they are at least 31 years of age and very unlikely to hit that minimum. It’s simply a new luxury we can afford to do with this new deeper pool of players to go even deeper than was possible.

6. Aidan Hutchinson | Defensive End | Detroit Lions |
7. Josh Allen | Outside Linebacker | Jacksonville Jaguars |
8. Brian Burns | Outside Linebacker | Carolina Panthers |

12. Carl Granderson | Defensive End | New Orleans Saints |
1. Maxx Crosby – Raiders
Maxx Crosby, who is only 26 years old, is now entering his prime as an NFL player. He had a fantastic 2023 performance in fantasy football statistical scoring. Maxx Crosby proved himself to be almost invincible against tough opponents every week. And consistently outperformed in tough matchups when other options couldn’t. And that was enough to earn the top spot in the #1 tier this early this offseason.
2. Micah Parsons – Cowboys
Micah Parsons didn’t quite live up to the high expectations completely in his 3rd season. Recording less than desirable stats for at least 5 of his 16 fantasy regular season games. So most managers didn’t exactly enjoy the ride they anticipated. However, as the younger player versus most of the talented top-tier options. He displays an elite skill set, and maybe more importantly. A role with the Cowboys that all but locks him down to lead the league as a pass-rusher for the next 8 to 10 years.
12. Carl Granderson – Saints
Carl Granderson was likely the biggest sleeper to breakout at edge rusher in 2023. So respectfully, with Jordan Cameron getting older and losing a step. One has to assume that Granderson will continue to grow as the Saint’s number-one pass rusher. Or at the least, that’s what his new big contract indicates. As well as the one-time elite-like grade that still landed Granderson well above par by the end of the season.
However, he’ll need to secure more than multiple tackles per contest. And if Granderson is going to maintain this ranking going forward. He’ll need to continue to develop by improving the backfield box score stats in 2024.
