(Updated 6 p.m.) NFL teams have till 4:00 pm est on Saturday Sept 1st to make their cuts down to their 53 man rosters. Here are players that impact your FFL team.

We are nearly there, week 1 of the NFL season is just over a week away and you can almost smell the beer and wings. Today is one of the last milestones before the regular season, cut day. We have been following players all offseason, and some of the bottom of the roster guys could make an impact on our starters. Or you might be in a deep league and your guy could get let go today.

Keep an eye on this page over the day, it will be updated as we at IDP Guys here about relevant players being let go from their teams. We will include a short blurb on how this impacts the players that are roster-able.

Mychal Kendricks– Cleveland Linebacker

Not let go because of bad play on the field, but Kendricks was indicted by a federal jury over insider trading. Not much is known about what the result of the charges will be, or if he will face jail time, but the Browns didn’t seem to want to deal with the distraction.

This greatly impacts the value of linebacker Joe Schobert who put up 144 combined tackles last season. While he won’t see those numbers again, Kendricks was going to greatly eat into his snaps this year.

Cut:

Hau’oli Kikaha– DE New Orleans Saints

Kony Ealy– DE Dallas Cowboys

TJ Green- S Indianapolis Colts

Essentially just three 2nd round picks that showed promise at some point and busted. Kikaha just can’t stay healthy. TJ Green is super athletic but just not good at football. Ealy posted some 5 sack seasons in Carolina early on, then never blossomed into anything more. These guys could see another chance on different teams.

Ron Parker– S Atlanta Falcons

Parker is a vet who was at one point relevant. The Falcons really just upgraded their safety depth, no impact.

Trade Alert! Khalil Mack To The Chicago Bears

The Bears have agreed to trade with Oakland for Khalil Mack, details are being ironed out now. Check out this ESPN report for the latest. The impact of this is Mack could possibly lose his DE designation, and return to being a OLB since the Bears run a 3-4 defensive scheme. We will be following this story closely.

Players Cut As Of 12 p.m.

Daeshon Hall– DE Carolina Panthers

A third round pick for Carolina in 2017. He sat behind Julius Peppers and Mario Addison on the depth chart, but due to their age could have seen some playing time and a starting role in the near future. According to Ron Rivera, “Daeshon Hall is a young man that has to step up.” Apparently that didn’t happen and Hall was released.

Atlanta Falcons first team to cut down to 53

The Atlanta Falcons make it to 53 players first, while this is really only note worthy because we shouldn’t hear of any more major cuts coming, this could start a domino effect where other teams follow suit shortly.

Players Cut As Of 2 p.m.

Brian Robison- DE Minnesota Vikings

After 12 years, Vikings veteran defensive end is being let go from their roster. Playing behind Everyone Griffen and Danielle Hunter, he did get 56% of defensive snaps last year when Griffen was injured. Keep an eye on Robison, he may not be ready to retire.

Carolina Panthers cut down to 53

There are two more hours left for teams to finish cutting down their roster, not surprising to see more teams getting it done.

Players Cut As Of 4 p.m.

All the teams should have their cuts in by now. We will have continuing coverage of anything ground breaking that happens in separate articles. Thanks for checking in with us over the day!
