Fantasy Football IDP Guys MFL Adds/Drops Defensive Tackles

My Fantasy League Defensive Tackles Who Should Be Added And Who Should Be Dropped Going Into 2019.

Each month I’m going to review the top players who are top MFL adds/drops, from each defensive position, on their site. Also included will be my recommendations on if these players should be added or dropped to your roster.

Top Adds:

There aren’t currently any players that were added under this section. According to MFL, the players do have to meet a 2 percent threshold in order to make the list.

Top Drops:

Of the eighteen players to make the list, three players are still without a contract from an NFL team. David Irving (quit football), Kyle Williams (retired), and Corey Liuget (free agent). The Los Angeles Chargers said it remains a possibility for Liuget to re-sign with them, however he still remains unsigned.

Add Denico Autry:

He currently sits at just over a three percent drop rate, however i’m not sure why he’s being dropped in leagues. I own a few shares of him and plan on holding onto him, going into this season. MFL has Autry’s 2019 projection as 28 tackles, 10 assists, and 7 sacks.

Add Ndamukong Suh:

Currently he sits at just under a three percent drop rate and is someone else that i’m unsure why he’s being dropped. He’s another player I own a few shares of and plan on holding onto, going into this season. MFL has Suh’s 2019 projection as 42 tackles, 17 assists, 1 forced fumble and fumble recovery, and 8 sacks.

Add Larry Ogunjobi:

Ogunjobi currently sits at just under a two and a half percent drop rate. He will be lining up in between Myles Garrett and Sheldon Richardson, which can only mean good things. MFL has his 2019 projection as 33 tackles, 20 assists, 1 forced fumble and 4 sacks.

Add Damon Harrison:

Even being 30, he’s still a very productive fantasy player. He currently sits at just over a two percent drop rate. I own a few shares of him too. MFL has his 2019 projection as 42 tackles, 20 assists, 1 forced fumble, and 3 sacks.

Add Sheldon Rankins:

Even though Rankins is almost certain to open the 2019 season on IR,  which explains his drop rate at just over two percent, while he recovers from a torn Achilles. His age, 25, and coming off having a big 2018 season, he’s someone i’m looking to add long term. MFL has his 2019 projection as 26 tackles, 11 assists, 1 forced fumble and recovery, and 6 sacks.

Add Kenny Clark:

He currently sits at a two percent drop rate and given his age, 25, and his previous production, I’m curious as to why people are cutting bait on him. MFL has his 2019 projection as 40 tackles, 28 assists, 1 forced fumble and recovery, and 7 sacks.

Drop Margus Hunt:

The Colts seem to like Tyquan Lewis and his upside going into this season. Assuming Lewis wins the job he should start opposite Autry, so Hunt is someone i’m dropping if I own him. Hunt sits at just over a three percent drop rate and I expect it to go up.

Drop Kawann Short:

With the off season addition of Gerald McCoy (add) that makes Short a rotational player for 2019, unless, McCoy gets injured. Shorts drop percentage should continue to increase.

Drop Geno Atkins:

He’s on the wrong side of 30 and seems like a better NFL player than fantasy at this point. His drop percentage should continue to increase too.

Drop Malik Jackson:

Even with his change of scenery, Jackson seems to be a better NFL player than fantasy player at this point. His drop percentage should continue to rise.

Drop Linval Joseph:

The 30 year old seems to be trending in the wrong direction and is someone I want no part of going into 2019.

Drop Da’Shawn Hand:

It looks like he’s going to be playing as a defensive end, so he could be getting a position change on MFL before the 2019 season starts.

Drop Solomon Thomas:

The off season additions to this defensive line didn’t help his playing time, along with him trying to regain the trust of the organization and needing to improve his overall production, there are to many things in the way of making him fantasy relevant in 2019.

Drop Vincent Taylor:

There are still to many players in front of him to be able to make a fantasy impact in 2019.

Conclusion

So as you can see, not everyone on this list, of top dropped players, should be on this list, in my opinion. I think there is always hidden value in certain players, you just have to know what to look for in order to see a return on investment. Ranking the add order of the players mentioned would be Kenny Clark, Ndamukong Suh, Damon Harrison, Larry Ogunjobi, Denico Autry, and Sheldon Rankins. Please keep an eye out for the top adds and drops for defensive ends.
