Players to Keep or Acquire
These players may not be household names yet, but they’ve got potential worth betting on.
Whether it’s because of a wide-open depth chart or future upside, OP makes strong arguments to
hold or trade for these names:
- Jonathan Brooks (RB, DAL): Worth the IR stash after his PUP designation. Too talented to cut—2026 breakout potential.
- Roman Wilson (WR, PIT): Hamstring derailed Year 1, but there’s no true WR2 in Pittsburgh. Strong upside for free.
- Troy Franklin (WR, DEN): Could benefit from Courtland Sutton trade rumors. Give him one more evaluation year.
- Ricky Pearsall (WR, SF): Jauan Jennings is only a placeholder. Cheapest way into a Kyle Shanahan passing offense.
- Will Shipley (RB, PHI): Could carve out a 3rd-down role behind Saquon Barkley. AJ Dillon isn’t a long-term threat.
- Malachi Corley (WR, NYJ): Opportunity to emerge in 2025 if Garrett Wilson gets doubled and Fields sticks.
- Jared Wiley (TE, KC): The Travis Kelce succession plan is real. Dirt-cheap flier with ACL recovery time baked in.
- Ben Sinnott (TE, WAS): Zach Ertz is 35. Sinnott fits Eric Bieniemy‘s middle-field TE tendencies.
- Jamari Thrash (WR, CLE): Outside role opposite Jerry Jeudy is open. Don’t be surprised if he gets first-team looks.
- Adonai Mitchell (WR, IND): Best perimeter separator on the team. Pittman’s contract out could open the door by 2026.
- Donovan Peoples-Jones (WR, NO): WR3 competition in New Orleans is wide open. Sneaky path to meaningful snaps.
Players to Cut or Fade
These players are stuck behind starters, lack upside, or simply won’t carve out enough fantasy
relevance to justify a roster spot. Time to clean the drain.
- Kamani Vidal (RB, LV): Depth chart nightmare—Mixon, Hampton, Najee, and Rocket Sanders all ahead.
- AJ Barner (TE, SEA): Bypassed by rookie Arroyo and behind Noah Fant. Too crowded to matter.
- Dylan Laube (RB, LV): Same fate as Vidal. Special teams-only upside in a packed RB room.
- Xavier Hutchinson (WR, HOU): The Texans’ WR room is loaded, and Hutchinson is buried indefinitely.
- Javon Baker (WR, NE): One-catch rookie stuck in a crowded wide receiver group. Not worth the stash.
- Anias Smith (WR/KR, PHI): Too many gadget-type players in Philly. Could be outright cut before Week 1.
Players to Monitor
Not quite stash-worthy? Not quite droppable? These names fall in the gray area. Keep tabs on
their situations, especially as camp news rolls in.
- Tez Walker (WR, BAL): X-receiver traits, but needs injuries or underperformance from Bateman or Hopkins to shine.
- Andre Iosivas and Jermaine Burton (WR, CIN): Iosivas may already be the WR3. Burton needs to keep his head down and stay away from trouble
- Michael Wilson (WR, ARI): Still listed as a starter—for now. Worth a roster spot in deep leagues until Arizona adds talent.
