Offensive Sleepers: Week 17 Edition

It can be hard to find sleepers each week. Let’s take a look at some players who could produce in the offensive sleepers Week 17 edition!

If there is a last-minute injury, you may need to scramble to find a player to substitute. That is when this weekly article on offensive sleepers comes in handy. I use Sleeper’s rostered percentage before the Thursday night game to look for offensive sleepers and use anyone under 35% rostered.

We have reached the championship week and with all the COVID positives, lineups may need some deep sleepers, so check out the Week 17 edition of Offensive Sleepers.

Week 16 I had another rough week but one sleeper should have helped many reach the championships. Justin Jackson beat his projection by 44 spots and was the #1 RB last week. For the season sleepers have beat projections 29 out of 60 times (48%) and 11 of those 29 sleepers outscored their projection by 20 spots.

Rashaad Penny, RB, Seattle Seahawks – 33.2% Rostered

Rashaad Penny has been impressive in the last few weeks and since the Seahawks run the ball over 40% of the time that has been important. He has taken over the backfield with two out of the last three games with over 100 yards and 3 TDs. The Lions give up over 20 fantasy points to RBs, so Penny could get another heavy workload.

Gerald Everett, TE, Seattle Seahawks – 28.0% Rostered

The Seahawks have struggled on offense, especially passing the ball but in the last seven games, Gerald Everett has been steady. He has five out of seven games with over 10 fantasy points. In those games, he is averaging five targets per game and has three TDs. Everett matches up with the Lions this week who are 10th worst vs TEs and give up an average of five receptions and 65 yards per game.

K.J. Osborn, WR, Minnesota Vikings – 13.6% Rostered

The main receiving option for the Vikings is obviously Justin Jefferson but with Adam Thielen out the second WR, an option has been K.J. Osborn. With Thielen out, he has played over 75% of the snaps in the last four games and had three out of four with over 14 fantasy points. With Thielen having another injury he could see another week with heavy targets and snap share.

Davis Mills, QB, Houston Texans – 3.9% Rostered

Since being entered back in the starting lineup, Davis Mills has looked very good and has three straight games with over 19 fantasy points. He is going up against the 49ers this week and their defense is eighth-worst in giving up fantasy points to QBs with over 20 points per game. I only suggest Mills for leagues with SF as he could fill in nicely in the championship round if other options have been disappointing.

Those are my top offensive sleeper candidates going into the Week 17 of the NFL season. With Covid protocols, you never know when someone is not going to be inactive on game day. These offensive sleepers could help you fill in your starting lineups for your championship matchup.
