Week 7 of college football is in the books! Let’s review the games and take a look at some NCAA IDP Waiver Adds for Week 8.
IDP for college football can be hard to figure out. Weekly, I will provide NCAA Waiver Adds for IDP players who are rostered under 50%, according to Fantrax. The goal of these articles is to give insight into both College Fantasy Redraft and Campus to Canton (C2C) leagues. Let’s take a look at some players to check for your league’s waiver wire!
Disclaimer: All league sizes and formats are different. Meaning some of these players may or may not be available in your league.
Defensive Linemen
Scott Patchan, Colorado State – 35% rostered
Week 7 Stat Line: 6 tackles, 2 sacks, 3 tackles for loss
This is Patchan’s sixth year in college and fourth year as a serious contributor on the defense. In the last four games, he has at least 16 points or more and 5 sacks in those games. If you are in IDP leagues this is a guy you should jump on but in C2C there is little interest.
Linebackers
Nakobe Dean, Georgia – 43% rostered
Week 7 Stat Line: 7 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss
Dean has had a very strong performance in the last three games with double digits in each contest. Dean plays in the box 205 out of 225 snaps so he is always around the ball. He also has NFL potential as he is a top 25 prospect according to PFF and should be a player picked up in C2C formats.
Jacoby Windmon, UNLV – 25% rostered
Week 7 Stat Line: 16 tackles, 4 tackles for a loss
In all five games he has played this year, Windmon has scored double digits and has at least five tackles in four of his five games. He does not pressure the QB very much in the UNLV scheme so he is not going to rack up that many sacks as he only has nine in three years. Windmon is a Sophomore so he is a player that could be very productive on your squad in C2C formats.
Defensive Backs
Gregory Grate Jr, Middle Tennessee State – 27% rostered
Week 7 Stat Line: Bye Week
Grate was on a bye this week but had three out of the last four games with at least 17 fantasy points. Grate only has one interception and one pass defended, so most of his production is just through tackles. The positive is that he plays about 38% of his snaps in the box.
Davon Ferguson, Bowling Green – 18% rostered
Week 7 Stat Line: 17 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss
Ferguson has been impressive this season with two out of the last four games over 20 points and for the season five out of six games in double-digits. He has a pretty even split in coverage and role of rush defense. As a Junior, he is another player that should be picked up in C2C as he can have another year of production.
