This is your DFS Minute for week five in the NFL. Here are my lineups for Draftkings and Fanduel for the Sunday slate of games.
Anyone who plays Daily Fantasy Sports wants their share of the pie. May you find this week’s lineups to be helpful in putting some cash in your pockets. Last week for our DFS Minute Week Four we hit big on Jalen Hurts, DJ Moore, and Derrick Henry. We had two big misses with Christian Kirk and Tim Patrick. #Accountability
Quarterback
Kirk Cousins, QB, Fanduel/Draftkings $7,500/$6,500
The Minnesota Vikings get the Detroit Lions in Minnesota on Sunday. Kirk Cousins historically has great numbers against the Lions. In seven career games, he has 1,923 yards, 16 touchdowns, and only 1 interception. I expect a bounce-back game from Cousins this week.
Running Backs
D’Andre Swift, RB, Fanduel/Draftkings $6,900/$6,000
Ezekiel Elliott, RB, Fanduel/Draftkings $8,000/$7,000
Last week the Vikings defense gave up a total of 169 yards rushing to Kareem Hunt and Nick Chubb. D’Andre Swift could be in for a big game against the Vikings, not only on the ground but in the air as well. The Lions’ offensive line may be without three starters. Goff will likely rely on Swift as a safety valve.
Ezekiel Elliott has come on really strong in recent weeks as the Cowboys have run the ball quite a bit. Elliott had 143 yards on 20 carries last week against the Carolina Panthers. The week before against the Philadelphia Eagles, Elliott ran for 95 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Wide Receivers
Laviska Shenault Jr., WR, Fanduel/Draftkings $5,800/$4,800
Justin Jefferson, WR, Fanduel/Draftkings $8,000/$7,700
Jakobi Meyers, WR, Fanduel/Draftkings $5,900/$5,600
Ja’Marr Chase, Flex, Draftkings $5,800
D.J. Moore, Flex, Fanduel- $7,900
It took a DJ Chark injury for the Jaguars to finally utilize Laviska Shenault Jr. Shenault caught six passes for 99 yards last week. The Jaguars face the Titans this week and Shenault comes at a great value.
In the last two weeks, Jakobi Meyers has seen 26 targets. Meyers has become the clear number one wide receiver in New England. The Patriots go up against the Houston Texans this week. Once again, Meyers should see the bulk of the targets.
In the flex spots this week there is room to fit Ja’Marr Chase on Draftkings and D.J. Moore on Fanduel. D.J. Moore is coming off a monster week with two touchdowns and 113 yards. He has established himself as one of the most consistent receivers in the NFL this year. I am sliding Chase into the flex spot because with Joe Mixon likely out I fully expect the Bengals to throw often this week.
Tight End/D/ST
Mike Gesicki, TE, Fanduel $5,600
C.J. Uzomah, TE, Drafkings $3,000
Denver Broncos, D/ST, Fanduel $4,400
Dallas Cowboys, D/ST, Draft Kings $2,800
Mike Gesicki finally had production worth utilizing in the last two weeks. Jacoby Brissett seems to favor Gesicki. The Dolphins are also now without Will Fuller. I think Gesicki will find the end zone again this week. Was the C.J. Uzomah we saw against Jacksonville a mirage or was it a preview of things to come? At the price this week, it’s worth the risk.
Values and Honorable Mentions
Aaron Rodgers, QB, Draftkings/Fanduel $8,000/$7,100
Darnell Mooney, WR, Draftkings/Fanduel $5,600/$4,700
Devante Parker, WR, Draftkings/Fanduel $5,700/$5,400
Chase Edmonds, RB, Draftkings/Fanduel $6,200/$5,900
Minnesota Vikings D/ST, Draftkings/Fanduel $3,900/$3,000
I would not fault you for adding any of the above-mentioned players to your lineup this week. They all hold incredible value. If I were to try to switch it up at all, Mooney would be the guy I would try to squeeze in a lineup somewhere. Justin Fields and Mooney made a strong connection last week.
