Derrick Henry suffered a potentially season-ending foot injury, per Adam Schefter.
Titans’ RB Derrick Henry suffered a potentially season-ending foot injury during Sunday’s 34-31 win over Indianapolis, sources reported ESPN. Henry is undergoing an MRI today to determine the full extent of the damage.

This injury is obviously a huge blow to the Tennessee Titans, as they placed backup RB Darrynton Evans on injured reserve last week, ending his season. Henry will have an MRI today to determine the extent of his injury.
Next Up
Jeremy McNichols is the only other active running back on the Titans roster at this point, with Dontrell Hilliard and Mekhi Sargent on the practice squad. Whoever Tennessee starts at RB, it will be nearly impossible to replace Henry’s 937 yards and 10 touchdowns on the season.
Fantasy Impact
If I were a Derrick Henry owner in a redraft league, I would look to see if Michael Carter is on the waiver wire and pay up. McNichols has been much more of a receiving option for the Titans than a rushing option but is worth adding if you have a deep roster. At this point, he is the next man up.
Titans Outlook
As far as the Titans go, I think this immediately makes Tannehill a great option as your quarterback in fantasy football. He threw the ball 33 times this week with three touchdowns, and these numbers should increase moving forward.
The free-agent running back market is bleak, to say the least. This may finally be the perfect landing spot for a running back like Todd Gurley. He has worked out for some teams this offseason, but now may be the time.
With the news of Titans’ RB Derrick Henry being out indefinitely, RBs that might be available via trade due to depth chart or team’s standing:
🏈Tevin Coleman
🏈David Johnson/Philip Lindsay
🏈Ty’Son Williams
🏈Melvin Gordon (unlikely)
🏈Ronald Jones
🏈Mike Davis
🏈Rashaad Penny— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) November 1, 2021
As mentioned in the above tweet, Adam Schefter lists potential trade candidates for the Titans. Ronald Jones would be a solid addition to the Titans if the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were willing to deal. Regardless of what happens with the Tennessee Titans moving forward, coach Mike Vrabel has a daunting task at hand.
Updates
Per Ian Rapoport, Derrick Henry will have surgery and be out 6-10 weeks.
From NFL Now: #Titans RB Derrick Henry will have foot surgery tomorrow morning and be out 6-10 weeks. Six would be quite fast, eight is more likely. Either way, Tennessee expects Henry back this season. pic.twitter.com/UzoJqNlcFF

Also per Ian Rapoport, the Tennessee Titans have signed Adrian Peterson. If you can add him and drop someone on bye — or Derrick Henry in a redraft league — I would do so immediately.
Source: The #Titans are signing FA RB Adrian Peterson, putting him on the practice squad then elevating him to the roster.
