Injury: Knee Injury
Injury Date: 9/8/2024
Expected Recovery Time: 4+ weeks
Player(s) to Target: OLB Jared Verse, OLB Byron Young

The Arizona Cardinals put up a valiant effort against the Buffalo Bills last week. This in large part was due to a fast start by Arizona. They got out to a 17-point lead late in the second quarter, as they were giving Kyler Murray time to operate. Unfortunately, things began to change once RT Jonah Williams went down with a knee injury.

With Williams on the sideline, veteran RT Kelvin Beachum entered the game and there was a stark difference in pressure allowed on that right side. After giving up just one sack, the Cardinals then proceeded to let up three sacks, including a sack-fumble, with Williams out of the game.

Unfortunately, things will continue to be dicey up front as Jonah Williams was just put on the IR and will miss a minimum of four games. The specific type of knee injury he is dealing with is still undisclosed but we know it will cause him to miss at least a month. Rams edge rushers Jared Verse and Byron Young both become targets here to take advantage of Williams being out. I expect the Rams offense to be able to put up some points, meaning the Cardinals offense will be forced to throw early and often.
