Congrats on making it through byepocalypse! Here is the Offensive Players Injury Report for this week to help you get the W.

Week 7 was as wild a week in the NFL as I can remember. If you were able to escape with a win, congratulations, but now it’s on to Week 8. This week the Ravens and Raiders are on bye. Which other players will be absent in this week? Read the NFL Week 8 Injury Report to find out!

Be sure to check back for updates as more information comes in.

For a quick reference tool, check out the new injury tracker that I will be updating up until kickoff.

Week 8 Injury Report for Offensive Players

DeAndre Hopkins, WR – Questionable

Hopkins was listed as did not participate Monday with a hamstring injury. With the Cardinals playing on Thursday, this is just an estimation but I would keep tabs on his practice involvement Wednesday.

Chase Edmonds, RB – Questionable

Edmonds has played through a shoulder injury for several weeks and should be good to go for Week 8 as well, so don’t be alarmed if he is limited in practice.

No new injuries reported.

Sammy Watkins, WR – Bye

Watkins missed Weeks 6 and 7 with a hamstring injury and should be monitored coming off the team’s Week 8 bye.

Latavius Murray, RB – Bye

Murray missed Week 7 with an ankle injury. Hopefully, he can return in Week 9, but we won’t have more information until next week.

Dawson Knox, TE – Out

Knox left Week 6 with a hand injury that was later revealed to be a broken bone that required surgery. The timeline for the injury was three weeks, meaning he should be back in Week 10.

Christian McCaffrey, RB – Injured Reserve

McCaffrey is still on injured reserve, eligible to return in Week 9.

Tarik Cohen, RB (knee – ACL)

Remains on the PUP list.

David Montgomery, RB – IR

Montgomery was placed on injured reserve prior to Week 5. He will be eligible to return Week 8 but his initial timeline of four to five weeks would make a return Week 9 or 10 more likely. With the Bears’ bye week in Week 10, I would expect Montgomery back Week 11.

Allen Robinson, WR

Robinson has been questionable leading up to the last couple of games, but has been active on game-day. I expect a similar path this week for the wide receiver.

Update: Robinson was a full participant Friday and does not carry an injury designation Sunday.

No new injuries reported.

Jarvis Landry, WR – Questionable

Landry returned from his right knee injury in Week 7, only to exit the game favoring his left leg. The team is suggesting he is uninjured and should play in Week 8, but monitor his practice reports all the same.

Nick Chubb, RB – Questionable

Chubb did not play in Week 6 or Week 7 but reports early in the week suggest that he will be in the lineup in Week 8.

Kareem Hunt, RB – Injured Reserve

Hunt left Week 6 with a calf injury and was placed on injured reserve. He will be eligible to return in Week 10 at the earliest.

Odell Beckham, WR – Questionable

Beckham played through a shoulder injury in Week 7 and you could tell. He is likely to play in Week 8 barring a setback, but if last week was an indication he should be avoided at all costs.

Baker Mayfield, QB – Questionable

Mayfield missed Week 7 with a shoulder injury that was revealed to not only involve the previously injured labrum, but also a fractured tuberosity. Assuming the terminology was relayed correctly, Mayfield has a fracture to the greater tuberosity of his humerus (arm bone). This is the attachment point of the muscles that make up the rotator cuff, meaning his range of motion will be significantly reduced and his pain level high.

The Browns’ quarterback did not practice Monday and remains questionable for Week 8 and although I have no doubt Mayfield will want to play, I suspect the doctors may not give him a choice. Don’t count on him this week.

Team Update:

Jarvis Landry, Nick Chubb, and Baker Mayfield all practiced in some fashion this week and all three enter Sunday without an injury designation. Meanwhile, Odell Beckham remains questionable with a shoulder injury and will be a game-time decision.

Dak Prescott, QB – Questionable

Prescott suffered a calf injury on the last play of Week 6 and was held out of practice Monday. The team is still saying they expect Prescott to be ready, but it will be vital to monitor his practice involvement throughout the week.

Update: Prescott is officially questionable and will likely be a game-time decision. There are mixed reports about his likelihood to play. I would pivot if possible and pick up the Cowboys’ backup Cooper Rush if no other options are available.

Michael Gallup, WR – IR

Gallup is on injured reserve with a previously reported calf injury but has been designated to return. This opens up a 21-day window for the team to officially activate him but does not necessarily mean he will play this week.

Jerry Jeudy, WR – Probable

Jeudy is expected to return in Week 8 after being medically cleared of his ankle injury suffered early this season.

Tyrell Williams, WR – IR

Currently on injured reserve with a previously reported concussion. Eligible to return at any time but there is no indication of when he might return.

D’Andre Swift, RB – Questionable

Swift was able to play through his groin injury the past few weeks. Watch his status again this week to make sure Swift doesn’t suffer any setbacks.

T.J. Hockenson, TE – Questionable

Hockenson has also been carrying a questionable tab the past couple of weeks and may continue to do so this week. He isn’t expected to be limited on game-day but watch closely for signs of setbacks.

Team Update

Hockenson does not carry an injury designation into Week 8 while running backs D’Andre Swift and Jamaal Williams are both officially questionable. This has been the case for a few weeks but should be monitored on game-day nonetheless.

Davante Adams, WR – Questionable (COVID-19)

Adams has been placed on the COVID list and is questionable for Week 8. As we have seen, it is not likely that he will be able to clear protocol in time to play but it could come down to the wire. Prepare to be without the superstar wide receiver this week.

Allen Lazard, WR – Questionable (COVID-19)

Lazard was also placed on the COVID list and is unlikely to be available for Week 8.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling, WR IR

Valdes-Scantling is eligible to return at any time from his hamstring injury and there is hope that he will return to the lineup this week.

Aaron Jones, RB – Questionable

Jones was limited in practice the last few weeks with an ankle injury but has been able to play through it successfully.

Tyrod Taylor, QB – Questionable Injured Reserve

Taylor is on injured reserve and eligible to be activated at any time, depending on how his hamstring injury is progressing. He is expected to return to practice this week and may be able to return to game action this week.

Update: There was some optimism that Taylor might be able to return this week but was not activated. Davis Mills has once more been named the Texans’ starter for Week 8.

T.Y. Hilton, WR – Questionable

Hilton returned to the field in Week 6, but exited early with a quad injury that subsequently kept him inactive in Week 7. He is questionable for Week 8.

The Jaguars did not have any injuries heading into their Week 7 bye.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire, RB – Out

Edwards-Helaire was out Week 6 with a previously reported injury. He will be out of action for a few weeks but a more definitive timeline isn’t available yet.

Tyreek Hill, WR – Questionable

Hill has been questionable the past two weeks leading up to the Sunday but has been active both weeks on game-day. Expect a similar path in Week 8.

Patrick Mahomes, QB

Mahomes exited Week 7 early after taking a big hit but was cleared of the concussion protocol shortly after. Despite sitting out the rest of the game, expect Mahomes to be active again in Week 8.

Team Update

Neither Hill nor Mahomes are listed on the final injury report and should be good to go Monday night.

Josh Jacobs, RB – Bye Week

Jacobs suffered a chest injury in Week 7 but is not expected to miss time. Keep an eye on Jacobs coming off of the Week 8 bye to see if he will be able to remain in the lineup for Week 9.

Darren Waller, TE – Bye Week

Waller missed Week 7 with an ankle injury that popped up late in the week. Despite the Raiders team site listing Waller’s absence at practice as NIR (Not Injury Related) going into the weekend, the star tight end was unable to suit up for Week 7. Keep an eye on his status leading up to Week 9 to see if he is able to return to practice and hopefully the lineup.

Update
Austin Ekeler, RB – Questionable

Ekeler did not practice Friday with a hip injury and is officially questionable for Sunday. The team has said they are hopeful to have him available but I wouldn’t assume anything.

No new injuries were reported.

Malcolm Brown, RB – IR

Brown was placed on injured reserve with a quad injury and will be out until at least Week 11. The effect Brown’s absence has on Myles Gaskin is likely more significant to fantasy managers than not having Brown for their lineups.

Will Fuller, WR – IR

Fuller is on injured reserve with a previously reported fractured finger. He will be eligible and likely to return in Week 8.

DeVante Parker, WR – Questionable

Parker has missed the past three weeks with a hamstring injury but is expected to have a good chance of returning in Week 8.

<a rel=

No new injuries were reported.

No new injuries were reported.

Deonte Harris, WR – Questionable

Harris missed Week 7 with a hamstring injury and remains questionable for Week 8.

Tony Jones, RB – Questionable

Jones was carted off in Week 4 due to an ankle injury and is expected to miss 3-4 weeks, putting his return at around Week 8. Jones may not be fantasy-relevant even if he returns in Week 8 but he is a running back to keep an eye on.

Michael Thomas, WR – PUP

Thomas is eligible to come off of the PUP list, but is expected to miss a few more weeks.

Saquon Barkley, RB – Questionable Out

Barkley has missed the last two weeks and remains questionable for Week 8. Keep an eye on his status late this week to gauge the likeliness of his availability.

Kenny Golladay, WR – Questionable Out

Golladay missed Week 6 and 7 with a hyperextended knee and remains questionable.

Kadarius Toney, WR – Questionable

Toney will likely come down to a game-time decision this week with an ankle injury that kept him sidelined last week.

Sterling Shepard, WR – Questionable

Shepard has missed multiple weeks with a hamstring injury and is questionable for Week 8.

Team Update

Kenny Golladay and Saquon Barkley have been ruled out for Week 8 while Kadarius Toney and Sterling Shepard are questionable and will be game-time decisions. It’s a little bit of a relief that we know Barkley’s status now, but if you are considering Toney or Shepard I would pivot to an earlier option since few options will be at your disposal Monday night.

Zach Wilson, QB – Out

Wilson left Week 7 after suffering a strained PCL in his knee. The injury is likely to keep him sidelined for 2-4 weeks making his likely return somewhere between Weeks 10 and 12.

Miles Sanders, RB – Doubtful Injured Reserve

Sanders suffered a low ankle sprain in Week 7 and is likely to miss Week 8 with the potential for more depending on the severity of the sprain.

Update: Initially it was not thought that Sanders’ ankle injury was very severe but the Eagles have now placed him on injured reserve, sidelining him until at least Week 11.

The Steelers did not appear to have any new serious injuries heading into the bye week and should be good for Week 8.

Russell Wilson, QB – IR

Wilson is on injured reserve with a previously reported finger injury. His earliest return is in Week 10.

Rashaad Penny, RB – Questionable

Penny played in Week 7 and should be good to go for Week 8. Watch to see if his involvement increases over the next few games.

Update: Penny does not have an official injury designation for Week 8. However, fellow running back Alex Collins (groin) is questionable this week.

Chris Carson, RB – IR

Carson was placed on IR with the neck injury that kept him out of Week 6. He will be eligible to return Week 10.

Trey Lance, QB – Questionable

Lance suffered a sprained knee in Week 5 and was inactive in Week 7. It is unclear at this point if he would get the starting quarterback job if healthy.

Update: Lance has been removed from the team injury report but is expected to be the backup quarterback for Week 8.

George Kittle, TE – IR

Kittle is on injured reserve with a calf injury and will not be eligible to return until Week 8.

Rob Gronkowski, TE – Questionable

Gronkowski has missed several games with injuries to his ribs. His status for Week 8 remains up in the air.

Antonio Brown, WR – Questionable Out

Brown missed Week 7 with an ankle injury and remains questionable for Week 8.

Update: Brown has been ruled out for Week 8 and could continue to miss time next week.

Julio Jones, WR – Questionable Out

Jones was active in Week 7, but has been on the injury report most of the season. I expect him to continue to be limited in some fashion and will consider him questionable every week until proven otherwise.

Update: Jones has been ruled out of Week 8.

Ryan Fitzpatrick, QB – IR

Fitzpatrick is on injured reserve with a previously reported injury.

Curtis Samuel, WR – Questionable Out

Samuel has missed the past few weeks with a long-standing groin injury and remains questionable for Week 8.

Logan Thomas, TE – IR

Thomas left Week 4 with a hamstring injury and was placed on injured reserve prior to Week 5. He will be eligible to return in Week 8, but with the Football Team’s bye in Week 9 I won’t be surprised if they hold him out until Week 10.

Antonio Gibson, RB – Questionable

Gibson continues to play through a shin injury but I expect him to continue the role he has had the last few weeks. I’ll keep playing him and hold my breath that he doesn’t get knocked out early.

Team Update:

Gibson does not have an injury designation for Sunday and is expected to play along with Terry McLaurin, while Curtis Samuel has been ruled out.
