IDP Investments

1. Gregory Rousseau, DE, Buffalo Bills

Through five games, Rousseau recorded 18 tackles — 15 solos — 4 TFLs, 3 sacks, 8 QB pressures, 1 interception, and 1 PBU. He has been playing about 32 defensive snaps per game (51%). Fantasy managers have taken notice as they started Rousseau 76% of MFL.com leagues last week.

Last week against Kansas City, Rousseau had his best game to date. He had five tackles — four solos — one TFL, one sack, one PBU, and one interception. Rousseau wreaked havoc all game long and caused the Chiefs to pay may more attention in his direction.

Rousseau is a must-start over the next five games. He will face Tennessee, Miami, Jacksonville, NY Jets, and Indianapolis. Tennessee has allowed Ryan Tannehill to be sacked 20 times in five games. Next, Rousseau faces the Dolphins — who he’s already had success against — then two straight games versus rookie QBs Zach Wilson and Trevor Lawrence. Lastly, he faces the ever-fragile Carson Wentz.

If you haven’t invested in Rousseau, I advise doing it now. His price will only go up. Rousseau is not only a great pass rusher but a special player overall. This is a stock worth every penny invested as the return will come back in bankrolls.

Investment Rating: 5

2. C.J. Mosley, LB, New York Jets

C.J. Mosley was a four-time Pro Bowler with the Ravens he Joined the Jets in free agency. People quickly forgot about him in New York, as he was injured for all but two games in 2019 and then opted out of 2020. Mosley is back in 2021 and has picked up right where he left off.

In the first five games of this season, Mosley has 45 tackles — 25 solos — 1 TFL, 1 sack, 1 PBU, and 1 forced fumble. He’s averaging nine tackles per game and has three games with at least 10 or more tackles. Mosley’s 45 tackles rank 10th in the league and it shows that he is back to his Pro Bowl form. He is set to shatter his personal best in tackles of 133 if he keeps up this pace.

As mentioned, Mosley is a much-overlooked stock and there is no better time than right now to make the investment in him. He was started just 7% of MFL.com leagues last week and is on a bye this week, so now is the time to be aggressive and acquire him. You should always look to upgrade your stock options at every position and Mosley‘s high return does just that.

Investment Rating: 4

3. Jerry Tillery, DT, Las Angeles Chargers

Defensive tackles aren’t often thought of as “must invest in” options, but Tillery is certainly one you need to add if you play in position-specific leagues. The third-year defensive tackle is playing 52 of the defensive snaps per game (81%) which is currently a personal best.

Through five games this season, Tillery has registered 18 tackles — 8 solos — 2 TFLs, 1½ sacks, and 18 QB pressures. Those pressures show that he is getting consistent pressure from the interior of the defensive line. Tillery is currently a tier-one defensive tackle in our IDP Nation listener leagues. As a whole fantasy managers have been starting him in 53% of MFL.com leagues.

Add Tillery if he’s available. His best value is position-specific leagues with defensive tackle premium scoring. He is a low investment option that is producing high returns for fantasy managers. Don’t be afraid to pursue him in trades as an add-in player for most deals.
