The Playoffs are coming quick and there is still talent out there that can help you bolster your roster. Here I will cover who are the top IDP waiver pickups after week ten.

There is not much time left before the fantasy playoffs begin. If you are still looking to add some depth to your roster, the waiver wire is getting pretty thin. Needless to say, there are still some capable players on the wire. Let’s take a look at who the top IDP adds are following week ten.

Drue Tranquill – Linebacker Los Angeles Chargers

2019 Stats: 34 tackles (22 solo), one tackle for a loss and one pass defensed.

Drue Tranquill has had a slow ascension to an every-down role in Los Angeles. He did not play a single snap in weeks one through three and averaged 41.6% of snaps over weeks five through nine. Even though he barely played over 40% of snaps he averaged just under four tackles per game. For week ten Tranquill played every single defensive snap and really showcased his potential. He was able to produce 14 total tackles, eight of which were solo tackles. Tranquill will look to keep this momentum going in what could be a full-time role moving forward.

Nik Needham – Cornerback Miami Dolphins

2019 Stats: 21 tackles (17 solo), one tackle for a loss, one sack, four passes defensed and an interception.

Don’t look now but the Miami Dolphins have won two games in a row. This is largely in part to a new crop of players producing for the team, mainly on the defensive side of the ball. One of these newcomers is undrafted free agent rookie Nik Needham. Needham is starting in a secondary with many new faces due to injuries, trades and the staff just seeing who is willing to play for the new staff.

Needham is the all-time leader in passes defensed at the University of Texas-El Paso (UTEP). In his past two games, he has thrived in a starting role. During those games, he accumulated 15 total tackles, one tackle for a loss, one sack, three passes defensed and an interception. He should be starting the rest of the way, fire him up as a weekly starter.

Dalvin Tomlinson – Defensive Tackle New York Giants

2019 Stats: 31 tackles (14 solo), four tackles for a loss and 2.5 sacks.

Dalvin Tomlinson has been ascending for the last five weeks now. After putting up a zero burger in week five, Tomlinson has been the best defensive tackle on the team since. Over the last five games, Tomlinson has accumulated 23 total tackles, four tackles for a loss and two sacks. That is an average of 4.6 tackles per game. From a defensive tackle that is great numbers. Tomlinson is not going to be a world-beater but if you are desperate for a defensive tackle than he could be your guy.

David Long Jr. – Linebacker Tennessee Titans

2019 Stats: Nine tackles (six solo), one tackle for a loss and one forced fumble.

Rookie David Long Jr. got some real game time last week against the Chiefs in a win and played quite well. Most thought that Wesley Woodyard would be the main beneficiary but Long was the guy to step up in Jayon Brown’s absence. In week ten he had eight total tackles and a forced fumble. Brown could not practice all last week with a groin injury leaving his week eleven status in question. If Brown sits Long has the opportunity to make another splash, though at the most for only one more week.

Conclusion

Its week ten so the waiver wire is spread incredibly thin. The pool is mostly filled with young players grasping at an opportunity. Luckily these guys are proving their worth and are being given opportunity by their team. If you are still looking to replace some injuries, it is thin but there are still guys out there.
