“Take A Look at Sr. NFL Analyst Justin Mark’s 2025 NFL Mock Draft for Round 2!”
33. Cleveland Browns: QB – Will Howard (Ohio State)
The Browns added athletic stud Travis Hunter in the first round. However, this fan base wants to know what’s happening at quarterback. Is DeShaun Watson still the choice? Are they trying to trade for Kirk Cousins? Who will quarterback this team?
Jalen Milroe has more talent, but Will Howard feels like a safer pick. The quarterback gets to keep playing ball in Ohio as the Browns draft him. His pro comp is Josh McCown, who played for the Browns and almost every other team.
Howard has the experience and size to succeed. This last season for the Buckeyes he threw for 4,003 yards and 35 touchdowns. His deep grade from PFF was a 96.3, and he was fifth in the nation in adjusted completion percentage.

34. New York Giants: OT – Josh Conerly Jr. (Oregon)
The Giants took the best edge rusher in the draft with their first-round pick in this NFL mock draft. Now they address the trenches on the other side of the ball by taking Oregon offensive tackle Josh Conerly with their second-round pick.
Russell Wilson figures to be the starter and the Giants wait a little bit longer to get their future franchise quarterback. Conerly will help protect whoever is slinging the ball. With 1063 pass block snaps at left tackle the past two years, he’s only allowed two sacks.
35. Tennessee Titans: WR – Emeka Egbuka (Ohio State)
After drafting Cam Ward in the first round of my mock draft, in the second round of the NFL mock draft the Titans get him a weapon in Emeke Egbuka. He played primarily out of the slot for the Buckeyes but lined up at wideout some as well.
In 2024, Egbuka had 1,011 yards and ten touchdowns. He averaged 12.5 yards per reception. He’s been talked about as an NFL prospect for years and now the Titans take him to be a best friend to their new quarterback.
36. Jacksonville Jaguars: S – Xavier Watts (Notre Dame)
In the second round of my NFL mock draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars continue to build on defense. They take safety Xavier Watts out of Notre Dame, who will come in and be a starting safety for them right away.
Watts is a ball-hawking safety with a high football IQ. He can break on the football and diagnose plays both pre- and post-snap very well. Last year he allowed zero touchdowns and had six interceptions. He is good against the run as well.
37. Las Vegas Raiders: DI – Darius Alexander (Toledo)
The Raiders picked up Ashton Jeanty in the first round of my NFL Mock draft. In the second round, they turn their attention to the defense and take Darius Alexander, an interior defensive lineman out of Toledo.
He’s a bit of an older prospect (will turn 25 in his rookie season), but he has NFL starting-caliber size and skill. He’s a very strong person who can work double teams and stop the run. He was graded with a 90.3 run defense grade by PFF, but he can also pass rush. He had a 12.9% pass rush win rate on the interior of the line in 2024.
38. New England Patriots: G – Tyler Booker (Oklahoma)
With the second round pick in the NFL mock draft, the New England Patriots take a player that fits their biggest need with guard Tyler Booker. Booker played for the Oklahoma Sooners and has taken snaps at left tackle and right guard, but his bread and butter has been at left guard.
In 395 pass block snaps in 2024, he gave up zero sacks. He has long arms for an interior player and has a very high IQ at the line positions. He has good leg drive and can move defensive linemen around.
39. Chicago Bears (via Carolina): ED – Mykel Williams (Georgia)
The Bears are notorious for offseason hype after free agency and, to some extent, with the draft. After taking Caleb Williams number one overall, they spent this free agency building the offensive line up to protect him. In the first round of the NFL mock draft, they took a safety.
There are still plenty of needs on the team, but I think they want to build in the trenches, and that starts with adding another edge rusher. Teams are going to have these edge rushers listed in different orders because of the number of them in the draft that could make an NFL impact.
I have the Bears taking a guy that may not have as many stats, but definitely has the potential in Mykel Williams out of Georgia. The Bears aren’t dumb. Georgia kicks out great players on defense, and they take two with their first two picks. This high-motor edge rusher could become a highlight reel.
40. New Orleans Saints: WR – Elic Ayomanor (Stanford)
In the first round of the surprising NFL mock draft, the Saints took a cornerback. In the second round, they take somebody to line up against him in practice in Stanford wide receiver Elic Ayomanor.
He’s a 6-2, 210-pound big-bodied player who knows how to play the position very well. He can line up as an “X” prototype receiver and has the strength to win against man coverage. In the past two years, he’s averaged 14.7 yards per catch and gives the Saints a great option other than Chris Olave.
41. Chicago Bears: RB – Cam Skattebo (Arizona State)
The Bears are going to surprise some with one of these picks in the actual draft. For my surprise NFL mock draft it’s with their second pick of the second round when they take running back Cam Skattebo out of Arizona State.
It’s possible he’s around in Round 3, or that they could go after one of the other guys like Kaleb Johnson, but I think Ben Johnson is going to target a running back early to get his guy. Skattebo is one of the hardest running backs in the draft.
He’s drawn comparisons to Kyren Williams and was second in missed forced tackles last year. He had 1,712 rushing yards, 21 rushing touchdowns, and 543 receiving yards. He’s a do-it-all all guy that the Bears’ organization and fans are going to love.
42. New York Jets: QB – Jalen Milroe (Alabama)
This offseason the New York Jets cut Aaron Rodgers and signed Justin Fields to a two-year contract. In Round 1, they got protection for Justin Fields and any of his successors. His successor is drafted in the second round of this NFL mock draft when they take Jalen Milroe out of Alabama.
Milroe is the most physically gifted quarterback in the 2025 draft class. However, he needs time to develop. He’s drawn some comparisons to Justin Fields because of his scrambling abilities. However, Milroe has an arm on him too. He was graded with a 93.1 deep grade by PFF last year.
43. San Francisco 49ers: ED – JT Tuimoloau (Ohio State)
The 49ers took an offensive tackle in the first round of my surprising NFL mock draft, and they stick to the trenches in the second round. This time, they flip to the other side of the ball by drafting edge rusher JT Tuimoloau out of Ohio State.
I don’t feel like Tuimoloau is getting enough credit pre-draft. He had 15 sacks, 14 quarterback hits, and 22 hurries in 356 pass rush snaps. Not only did he tally up those excellent pass rushing stats, but he’s also a really good run defender. He will be a game changer opposite of Bosa.
44. Dallas Cowboys: RB – Kaleb Johnson
The Cowboys’ run game hasn’t struck fear in anybody recently. That changes with this second-round pick in my NFL mock draft. They skip the Ohio State guys and Tennessee’s Dylan Sampson to grab Iowa Hawkeye’s running back Kaleb Johnson.
Johnson is drawing comparisons to Todd Gurley, who can excel when he has the ball. He has good vision and the balance to shrug off arm tackles. He’s going to be a problem for would-be tacklers. He finished last year with a 6.4-yard per carry average on his way to 1,535 yards and 21 rushing touchdowns. He was third in the league in carries of 15+ yards.
45. Indianapolis Colts: ED – Shemar Stewart (Texas A&M)
After grabbing a tight end in the first round, the Colts take Edge rusher Shemar Stewart out of Texas A&M in the second. Stewart’s stats didn’t jump off the page, which is why he falls to the second round. However, he has an imposing size and top-tier explosiveness.
He’ll need to work on his footwork to excel at the NFL level. He finished with only two sacks and four quarterback hits. However, he did have 33 quarterback hurries and was really good against the run.
46. Atlanta Falcons: ED – Nic Scourton (Texas A&M)
After missing out on one of the Texas A&M defensive linemen right before them in the second round, the Falcons take another in Nic Scourton. Their focus continues on improving their defense after the addition of a linebacker in the first.
Scourton has drawn comparisons to Shaq Lawson. He’s a versatile defender who can play both OLB and DE and has experience from playing both sides of the line. He finished with only four sacks, but had a 17% pass rush win rate.
47. Arizona Cardinals: CB – Trey Amos (Ole Miss)
The Cardinals continue to rebuild and revamp their defense in my NFL mock draft. This time, they focus on the secondary by drafting Trey Amos, a standout cornerback out of Ole Miss. Amos draws comparisons to Terrion Arnold.
He’s an easy CB2 right away, but has the potential to become the CB1. He has great coverage instincts and only allowed a passer rating of 54.5 in 2024. His coverage grade from PFF in 2024 was an 85.6 and they gave him an 81 in run defense grade.
48. Miami Dolphins: CB – Shavon Revel (ECU)
The Dolphins also continue adding to their defense by taking a cornerback in the second round of my NFL mock draft. Revel has been compared to Tariq Woolen. He’s coming off a torn ACL, and jumps from the AAC to the NFL aren’t easy. However, the Dolphins believe in him.
Revel has top speed and can bully wide receivers in press coverage. His footwork is fast enough to match wide receiver movements, and he’s a tenacious competitor. He allowed an average passer rating of only 48.8 in 2024.
49. Cincinnati Bengals: DI – T.J. Sanders (South Carolina)
There hasn’t been any progress on Trey Hendrickson’s request for a trade. In fact, that may get settled during the draft. However, in the second round of my NFL mock draft I’m assuming he’s still on the team. I’m also assuming adding interior defensive lineman T.J. Sanders next to him is going to be a problem for opposing offenses.
He’s drawn comparisons to Quinton Jefferson and he’s a disruptive interior defensive lineman. Sanders is quick to engage and get off his blocks and is a competitive third-down player. PFF gave him a true pass set pass rush grade of 90.3.
50. Seattle Seahawks: WR – Jack Bech (TCU)
The Seahawks traded D.K. Metcalf away in the offseason. They’ll need more than one player to make up for him but they get a good start by drafting Jack Bech out of TCU in the second round of my NFL mock draft.
Bech is a 6-2 receiver who has good speed and very sure hands. He can play any receiving position and has even spent time at tight end. Last year he averaged 16.7 yards per reception with 1,034 total yards and 9 touchdowns. His contested catch rate was 65% in 2024.
51. Denver Broncos: RB – Dylan Sampson (Tennessee)
The Broncos added a playmaker in the first round of my surprising NFL mock draft, and now they add another playmaker. In the second round, I have them taking a game-changing running back in Dylan Sampson. The Broncos needed more production from their running backs, and now they get it.
Sampson has a quick pace of play and great one-cut agility. He’s a speedster who has explosiveness, patience, and great vision. Last year at Tennessee, he had 1,488 yards and 22 rushing touchdowns. He’ll help take pressure off of Bo Nix.
52. Seattle Seahawks (Via Pittsburgh): QB – Dillon Gabriel (Oregon)
In a surprising move, even after paying Sam Darnold, the Seahawks draft quarterback Dillon Gabriel out of Oregon in this NFL mock draft. Sam Darnold will be a decent bridge quarterback for them. However, Gabriel is their quarterback of the future.
Gabriel was first in adjusted completion percentage last year. His pro comp is Kellen Moore, but he’ll have a better professional career. He has quick movements and a fast release. Last year he threw for 3,854 yards and 30 touchdowns with a 72.3 completion percentage.
53. Tampa Bay Bucs: S – Nick Emmanwori (South Carolina)
The Tampa Bay Bucs have a big need at the safety position, and draft Nick Emmanwori out of South Carolina in my NFL mock draft to fill that need. He’s got elite size and length for a safety, and he’s a freak athlete.
His pro comp is Obi Melifonwu. Last year, he received a PFF coverage grade of 86.8. In 2024, he allowed zero touchdowns with four interceptions and allowed a passer rating of only 37.1.
54. Green Bay Packers: WR – Jayden Higgins (Iowa State)
The Packers have been looking for consistent production from the wide receiver position since Davante Adams left town. In this NFL mock draft, they draft Jayden Higgins out of Iowa State to start turning that trend around.
Higgins got a PFF receiving grade of 90.5 last year and graded an 87.8 versus man coverage. He had 1,185 yards last year and nine touchdowns. Higgins will become a number on target for Jordan Love.
55. Los Angeles Chargers: DI – Tyleik Williams (Ohio State)
The Chargers draft interior defensive lineman Tyleik Williams out of Ohio State in the second round of my surprising NFL mock draft. He can’t assist the team very much in pass-rushing, but they don’t need him to. They need him to plug the middle and stop the run.
Williams’ pro comparison is Da’Ron Payne. He’s 6-3, 327 pounds, and was a full-time starter for the Buckeyes in 2023 and 2024. His run defense grade is 88.6 per PFF in 2024. He had an excellent game against the very good running Iowa Hawkeye team in 2024.
56. Buffalo Bills (via MIN): ED – Bradyn Swinson (LSU)
The Bills continue their focus on the defense in the second round of my NFL mock draft with a pick they got from the Vikings. They select edge rusher Bradyn Swinson out of LSU to help in the pass rush.
Swinson had a really good pass rush win rate of 22.1% in 2024. He finished with nine sacks, eight hits, and 43 quarterback hurries in 313 pass rush snaps. His run defense will improve in the NFL with the right work and he’ll become a very good contributor for the Bills.
57. Carolina Panthers (via LAR): WR – Tre Harris (Ole Miss)
In the first round of my surprise NFL mock draft, the Panthers got themselves a brand new quarterback. Now they help him immediately in the second round by drafting a wide receiver in Tre Harris out of Ole Miss.
Harris is a 6-3 field stretcher. He has an insane 95.0 grade from PFF in 2024 and an 89.4 overall. Last year Harris had 1,030 yards and seven touchdowns, averaging 17.2 yards per catch. That was down slightly from 2023’s 18.3 yards per catch.
58. Houston Texans: OT – Aireontae Ersery (Minnesota)
The Houston Texans turn their attention to protecting C.J. Stroud by drafting offensive tackle Aierontae Ersery out of Minnesota. He’s a true left tackle who draws comparisons to Phil Loadholt. This makes the second offensive player the Texans have added in my surprising NFL mock draft between Round 1 and 2.
Ersery is light on his feet and has some speed for a 330-pounder. He’s got impressive pass-blocking hand work and good footwork. As the starting left tackle for the last three years for the Gophers, he’s only allowed a total of 5 sacks, 6 hits, and 26 hurries.
59. Baltimore Ravens: G – Willie Lampkin (North Carolina)
This may be considered a reach to some, but the Ravens want to secure the guy they feel is the best interior guard in the draft. In the second round of my NFL mock draft, they take guard Willie Lampkin out of North Carolina.
Lampkin had a great year in 2024, excelling at both run blocking and pass blocking. He allowed zero sacks in the past two years. He also has experience at left guard, center, and right guard. This versatility will make him very valuable in the NFL.
60. Detroit Lions: WR – Isaiah Bond (Texas)
The Lions love speed, and with the second-round pick in the NFL mock draft,t they get a lot of speed in Isaiah Bond, a wide receiver out of Texas. Bond has world-class speed and will be used in many different ways in this offense.
He may need to continue to develop at the receiver spot. However, I think they’ll just work to get him the ball either way. Even though he has a smaller frame, he’s not afraid to put his body on the line when hauling in passes. He’s lined up in the slot and on the outside.
61. Washington Commanders: CB – Maxwell Hairston (Kentucky)
The Commanders love feisty cornerbacks, and they get one in Maxwell Hairston out of Kentucky. His pro comp is Cam Smith, and he’ll be able to help out the defense in a variety of different ways and formations.
Hairson is a solid tackler and a visible communicator both pre- and post-snap. He’s got a good football IQ and knows where to be in order to stop the run.
62. Buffalo Bills: S – Kevin Winston Jr. (Penn State)
The Bills draft a ball-hawking safety, Kevin Winston Jr., out of Penn State. He had a recent injury, which has dropped his value somewhat. However, the Bills don’t let him slide any farther based on what his 2023 tape showed.
He’s a high-IQ football player who can diagnose plays before and after the snap. He was really good at man-to-man coverage in 2024 and his run defense is one of the best among all safeties in the nation.
63. Kansas City Chiefs: ED – Landon Jackson (Arkansas)
The Kansas Chiefs started by building their team up in the trenches in round one. Now in the second round of my NFL mock draft, like other teams before them, they switch to the other side and draft edge rusher Landon Jackson out of Arkansas.
He was graded better as a run defender than a pass rusher in 2024. However, he still had seven sacks for the second year in a row. He also had eight quarterback hits, 20 hurries, and three batted balls. He has comparisons to Carl Nassib and a difference-making build for height, weight, and length.
64. Philadelphia Eagles: G – Tate Ratledge (Georgia)
I joked about the Eagles not drafting a Georgia player in the first round of my NFL mock draft. Now they actually do draft a player out of Georgia when they take guard Tate Ratledge. Their weakest spot right now is right guard, a position Ratledge has started at for three years now.
Ratledge is a solid pass-blocker and has downhill power in the run game. He’s consistently sound in his blocking and light on his feet. He’s only allowed two sacks in the last three years and will help this Philadelphia team continue to stay strong and dominate on offense.
