Week 9 IDP Sleepers
Note: All rankings for this Week 9 IDP Sleepers article are taken from the Week 9 rankings at FantasyPros. As always, let’s start things off by setting some expectations for this article. What this piece will not be doing is hyping up obvious IDP stars — projecting that Aidan Hutchinson or Zach Baun will have productive outings isn’t exactly breaking news. Instead, we’re focused on uncovering players with sneaky upside who can outperform their rankings.
It’s worth mentioning that just like finding hidden IDP value, savvy bettors are always looking for great gambling sites outside the U.S. If you’re exploring international markets, you’ll find several secure non GamStop bookmaker options offering unique odds and gaming experiences that rival major U.S. sportsbooks. Similar to spotting an overlooked linebacker or defensive lineman, success often comes down to doing the research and trusting your instincts.
Ok, enough logistics — let’s dive into our Week 9 IDP Sleepers!
Defensive Line Week 9 Sleepers

Kobie Turner – (DL47)
Week 9 Opponent: Hosting the Saints
Let’s kick things off with a defender who hasn’t lived up to expectations this year: Kobie Turner! Turner had a breakout year last year, but has yet to really get going in 2025. Turner has seen his snap counts dip, and his production has suffered accordingly. However, this is a nice spot to get right in Week 9. He finds himself on this list due to the team the Rams are playing: the New Orleans Saints!
The Saints are in flux at QB, so we expect them to run early, leading to a nice tackle floor for Turner. When the Rams get up big, and they will, Turner is primed for a nice splash play sack as the offensive line focuses on Jared Verse and Byron Young. Ranked as the DL47, Turner is more of a play in DT-required leagues, but should be a solid streaming option as he reverts back to his 2024 form.
Josh Hines-Allen – (DL32)
Week 9 Opponent: Away at the Raiders
Here’s another guy who has underwhelmed thus far. Hines-Allen only has half of a sack to his name this year, but this matchup is one that should see the pass-rusher get back on track. He is playing 77% of defensive snaps, which is more than enough to be IDP-relevant. The Raiders offer a porous offensive line, which will lead to plenty of opportunities for Hines-Allen to break through and make some nice splash plays.
Ranked as the DL32 this week, there is a chance he’s available in leagues where you only start two defensive linemen. Expect a nice tackle floor as the Raiders try to establish the run with a few splash play opportunities as the game goes on. As a bye-week fill-in, you can do far worse than this veteran. Play him with confidence and reap those rewards!

Devin White – (LB30)
Week 9 Opponent: Hosting the Chargers
Welcome back to my sleeper article, Devin White! He’s here AGAIN because it appears that professional rankers haven’t caught up to the excellent season he is having. Last time he played, White notched a staggering 16 combined tackles. He’s playing 100% of defensive snaps, so he’ll have that sort of upside each and every week. Look who’s coming to town: the Los Angeles Chargers!
The Chargers boast an offense that likes to run and has proven that it can sustain drives. This is a fantasy goldmine for a linebacker who will be tasked with stopping said offense, as the tackle floor will be incredible. Ranking White as the LB30 is a tragedy. Start him with so much confidence everywhere you have him.
Patrick Queen – (LB28)
Week 9 Opponent: Hosting the Colts
Here’s another linebacker who has been featured in this article before! Patrick Queen is the LB1 for the Pittsburgh Steelers, playing just shy of 100% of defensive snaps for the team. He started the year on a bit of a heater, but has seen his production fall off a tad in recent weeks. This is where you can take advantage of that! That amount of playtime and his established production over his career mean Queen is due for a great outing.
This week, the Steelers face a Colts team that just won’t stop scoring points. A heavy dose of Jonathan Taylor means Queen will have a busy day at the office. Ranked as the LB28 this week, expect Queen to far outshine that with an excellent tackle floor and perhaps a splash play or two.

Jalen Thompson – (DB43)
Week 9 Opponent: Away at the Cowboys
Unlike others I’ve written about thus far, Jalen Thompson is making his debut in this week’s article! On the whole, Thompson is as un-sexy an IDP asset as they come. He plays 100% of defensive snaps. He plays for a bad NFL team. Really, Thompson just gets forgotten about. Let’s change that! He’s averaging around 5 to 6 combined tackles a game, and as I mentioned, he never leaves the field.
The Cardinals face a Cowboys team this week that throws and throws a lot. This will lead to a healthy stat line for Thompson, as someone needs to tackle the receivers! Ranked as the DB43 this week, Thompson should easily exceed this from a production standpoint. Start him as your DB3 and thank me later.
Kerby Joseph – (DB43)
Week 9 Opponent: Hosting the Vikings
I know, I know. Another player I’ve written about before. And the last time I mentioned him, he had a great first half, only to get hurt! But hey, I call them as I see them. Joseph is having a great fantasy year, notching an interception in half the games he’s appeared in. He’s playing a robust 86% of defensive snaps, and making the most of them by also notching nearly 4 combined tackles a game.
The Lions welcome a Vikings team that will either be welcoming J.J. McCarthy back from injury or trotting out who knows who, with Carson Wentz landing on IR. Either way, the QB situation for the Vikings is bleak, and with the Lions expected to go up big early, they will have no choice other than to throw. I see splash plays galore for Joseph this week, easily besting his DB43 ranking. Play with confidence!
