Week 8 IDP Sleepers
Note: All rankings for this Week 8 IDP Sleepers article are taken from the Week 8 rankings at FantasyPros. As always, let’s start things off by setting some expectations for this article. What this piece will not be doing is hyping up obvious IDP stars — projecting that Micah Parsons or Derwin James will have productive outings isn’t exactly breaking news. Instead, we’re focused on uncovering players with sneaky upside who can outperform their rankings.
It’s worth mentioning that just like finding hidden IDP value, savvy bettors are always looking for great gambling sites outside the U.S. If you’re exploring international markets, you’ll find several secure non GamStop bookmaker options offering unique odds and gaming experiences that rival major U.S. sportsbooks. Similar to spotting an overlooked linebacker or defensive lineman, success often comes down to doing the research and trusting your instincts.
Ok, enough logistics — let’s dive into our Week 8 IDP Sleepers!
Defensive Line Week 8 Sleepers

K’Lavon Chaisson – (DL29)
Week 8 Opponent: Hosting the Cleveland Browns
Let’s kick off this article with a player from my favorite team, K’Lavon Chaisson! Chaisson has been a solid addition to the Patriots’ roster this year and had a breakout performance last week against the Titans. In the game, he racked up a solid 2 sacks with three combined tackles. He’s been playing just shy of 70% of defensive snaps played throughout the year, so it’s clear that the Patriots’ coaching staff trusts the savvy veteran.
As the DL29 this week, Chaisson will be aiming his talents at Dillon Gabriel and the Cleveland Browns’ offensive line. I like Chaisson’s chances at getting another splash play or two with some tackles for a loss in this game, besting his DL29 ranking. Start him as your DL3 with confidence.
Dallas Turner – (DL32)
Week 8 Opponent: Away at the Chargers
Dallas Turner is having a sneaky good IDP season thus far this year. Sure, he only has 1.5 sacks on the year, but he is averaging a little more than 4 combined tackles a game, which is pretty decent for a defensive lineman. With that tackle floor, Turner is just a sack away from being an excellent sleeper candidate. So, who do the Vikings have coming up? Why, it’s the 5th most sacked Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers!
Being ranked as the DL32, it’s not hard to see a world where Turner outperforms this ranking. In a week where a lot of teams are on a bye, you can do far worse than gambling on this young pass-rusher. Start him as your DL3 with confidence and reap those benefits!

SirVocea Dennis – (LB33)
Week 8 Opponent: Away at the Saints
If you haven’t been paying attention, Dennis is having one heck of a year. If you watched the game on Monday night, you would have seen Dennis all over the place. At the end of the game, he racked up 12 combined tackles with a nice splash play sack. While this was his best IDP performance of the year, Dennis has been averaging close to 8 combined tackles a game over the entire season. It’s encouraging to see the splash play potential as well.
So why is he on this list? For starters, LB33 seems disrespectful to the dynamic playmaker. Secondly, Dennis will be playing a Saints team that can string together some longer drives while running the ball frequently. This entire equation adds up to Dennis having another great day at the office and besting his LB33 ranking. Play him in deeper leagues and thank me later.
Frankie Luvu – (LB32)
Week 8 Opponent: Away at the Chiefs
Talk about a non-sexy IDP sleeper! But hear me out! Luvu has been rather consistent all year, essentially racking up 6 combined tackles a game. This warrants his current LB32 ranking for sure. However, in the past few weeks, Luvu has shown some splash play ability, gathering a sack in 2 of the last 4 weeks. With this being the case, Luvu can go off for a top-25 week in any given game.
Now look at who the Commanders face in Week 8: the Kansas City Chiefs. With Jayden Daniels being out, we fully expect the Commanders to be on defense a lot. I also expect the Chiefs to run a ton, especially once they get the lead, to try to finally establish their run game in a “get right” situation. This all leads to a huge game for our Linebacker. Start him with confidence!

Kenny Moore – (DB38)
Week 8 Opponent: Hosting the Titans
There are a few things that are inevitable in this world: death, taxes, and starting defensive backs playing the Tennessee Titans. Cam Ward is tied for the most interceptions thrown in the league thus far this season with 10. Insert Kenny Moore, who is coming off his best effort this year with 8 combined tackles and a pass defended. With Moore’s season starting to pick up, I love his chances of outperforming his DB38 ranking.
With Moore’s healthy tackle floor, plus facing a Titans team that throws a ton and turns the ball over more than most teams do, Moore is an excellent candidate for a spot-start this week. This is especially true considering we expect the Titans’ game script will be pass-heavy once the on-fire Daniel Jones leads the Colts to an early lead. Start with confidence!
Brandon Stephens – (DB54)
Week 8 Opponent: Away at the Bengals
Wrapping up this sleepers article is good ol’ Brandon Stephens. Ranked as the DB54, not many analysts are expecting much from the Jets’ cornerback this week. Here’s the thing: Stephens has a really healthy tackle floor for a cornerback, averaging close to 5 combined tackles a game. This is an excellent thing for IDP. Now look at who the Jets play this week: the Cincinnati Bengals! Jake Browning is right up there in terms of interceptions thrown this year.
In what projects to be a gross game, Stephens will be a gem from a fantasy perspective. Take his tackle floor with the increased chance of nabbing an interception; this is a diamond in the rough situation. While I wouldn’t advocate for starting him everywhere, if you are in a CB-required league, you could do far worse than starting Stephens this week!
