The first two weeks of football have already gone by and the fall equinox is approaching this weekend. More injuries have occurred throughout the league, especially to key Wide Receivers such as A.J. Brown & Deebo Samuel. Although not as severe, we don’t entirely know the status of Justin Jefferson and Amon Ra St. Brown. It might be time for some teams to look to those who were signed more recently. Here are some of those next-generation players who could be very beneficial for DFS this week:
Philadelphia @ New Orleans
QB Derek Carr: Who would’ve guessed the Saints would be 2-0? Derek Carr is off to a hot start. He threw for more yards last week against a tough Cowboys defense than he did in week 1 against the lackluster Carolina Panthers. This includes a receiving TD Alvin Kamara had to go with his 3 rushing ones. And that game was in Dallas. Now, the Saints host the Eagles who are coming off an embarrassing loss to the Atlanta Falcons. With this game being a potential shootout, Carr might see 20+ fantasy points yet again. If you can’t find a QB to stream this week, consider the veteran who’s outside the top 5.
San Francisco @ LA Rams
RB Jordan Mason: Remember what I said last week about James Connor taking advantage of the Rams & their poor defensive line? He had over 120 rushing yards & a TD. Now, the Rams have their home opener against the 49ers. Jordan Mason scored a rushing TD in each game so far this year. He is having no problems filling in for Christian McCalfInjury. (Sorry folks, too easy). With Deebo Samuel also set to miss time, Jordan Mason is in for a workload against their divisional opponent. His DFS value on Yahoo & DraftKings makes it worth putting him into lineups.

Philadelphia @ New Orleans
WR Rashid Shaheed: Chris Olave fantasy managers cannot be happy after watching Derek Carr air out deep TD passes to Rasheed Shaheed for the first two weeks. The third time could be the charm with the Eagles coming to town. They allowed Christian Watson to score on them as well as Drake London at the end of Monday Night Football last week to seal the win for Atlanta. This is dating back to last season when the Eagles’ secondary was incredibly vulnerable to WRs. I would start both Saints wideouts in season long but for DFS, Shaheed is only $5,300 on Draft Kings.
TE Kyle Pitts: After a TD in week 1 and a last second victory against the Eagles, this matchup should be perfect for Kyle Pitts. The Chiefs’ defense gave up two TDs to Isaiah Likely in the season opener and allowed Mike Gesicki to have over 90 yards last week. So far, no team in the league has given up more yards to Tight Ends than Kansas City. DFS on FanDuel allows you to use players from the Sunday Night game. If you’re playing on there, Pitts is worth streaming this week.
NY Giants @ Cleveland
The Browns Defense: The above picture should say it all. Along with Greg Newsome, the Cleveland Browns have the best trio of CBs in the league with Denzel Ward & Martin Emerson JR. They host the Giants who have a new WR1 in Malik Nabers. He may have scored his 1st career TD last week in our nation’s capital, but that was against the Commanders. Daniel Jones needs to find a way to get passed Myles Garrett and even if he does, this offense is too weak. I can’t understand why Yahoo Fantasy has them outside the top 5 for DFS. Cleveland will rock this Sunday.
