Cincinnati Bengals 2022 Fantasy Football + IDP Depth Chart Dive

Cincinnati Bengals

The Cincinnati Bengals were a fantasy football and IDP gold mine in 2021. Can they repeat and remain one of the top teams in the NFL? We certainly think so and dive into the depth chart below!

Offense

Quarterback

Joe Burrow

The man, the legend, Joe Brrrrrrr! Burrow is one cool dude and is set up with elite weapons for the foreseeable future, a cornerstone piece for the Bengals and your dynasty teams. My QB5 in dynasty and QB6 In redraft, I am taking Burrow before any non-QB in superflex leagues. @DynastyBison 8/18/22

Brandon Allen
Jake Browning

Running Back

Joe Mixon

So underrated despite a solid and healthy 2021! Mixon is locked in with a contract on an elite offense with minimal competition in the RB room. The offensive lines he has played behind his entire career in Cincinnati have been a joke but it was finally addressed this offseason after being their bane in the Super Bowl. Bringing in proven stud linemen in Karras, Collins, and Cappa is the recipe for success, I expect MUCH better rushing efficiency out of Mixon with this unit. Top 5 RB season on tap for Joe Mixon! @DynastyBison 8/18/22

Samaje Perine
Chris Evans
Trayveon Williams

Wide Receiver

Ja’Marr Chase

Dynasty you absolutely cannot go wrong with Ja’Marr Chase, he is my WR1B barely behind only Jefferson. In redraft however, he is going in the 2nd round of superflex drafts from what I have seen and I am going to pass on him this year at that cost. Chase was hyper-efficient as a rookie but when both were healthy he did not really outpace Higgins in terms of targets. Chase will certainly be good in 2022 but top-3 WR price is steep for a guy that I think Higgins prevents from getting that monster 150-160+ target season that other WRs are in store for.

Tee Higgins

Higgins is my preferred target in this WR core at cost. Tee Higgins would be the WR1 on the vast majority of teams in the NFL but is the WR2 on the Bengals and I do not think it is by much. Tee played through a surprisingly serious shoulder injury for much of last year and still hung with Chase for targets. Assuming good health I expect Higgins to provide similar targets to Chase offering a bit less in terms of the ceiling from explosive plays but at a much more affordable draft cost rounds later.

Tyler Boyd

Similar to how Higgins would be a WR1 on most teams, Tyler Boyd would probably be a WR2 on most teams. Boyd is pretty darn good and can consistently command 100+ targets, I like Boyd as a later round target on teams I fade WR a bit for other positions. You are likely getting close to 100-850-5 but there is a ton of upside in this offense if either Chase or Higgins missed significant time. @DynastyBison 8/18/22
