2024 Fantasy Football Team Names: Offense and IDP

You’ve got your lineup set, your draft-day plan executed perfectly, and the best players on your roster. Now it’s time to take it up a notch with a fantasy football team name that’ll set you apart from the rest. Since this is IDP+, we’re giving love to players on both sides of the ball. Football season is officially here, so let’s ditch the boring names and choose one of these unique picks to represent your squad!

Tank’s Blazin’ – Tank Dell

When you have a player like Tank Dell, who brings sheer explosiveness to your lineup, you want a team name that captures that fiery potential. “Tank’s Blazin'” is a name that signifies when Tank Dell gets going, he’s scorching defenses—and fantasy opponents. Despite Stefon Diggs’ move to Houston, Dell remains one of Stroud’s favorite deep targets, and that’s not likely to change anytime soon. Usually the third wide receiver off the board for the Texans, Tank Dell could be the biggest steal in drafts this season, or at least my dynasty team hopes.

Not Like Gus – Gus Edwards

Nothing makes a statement like a team name that tells everyone you’re different—”Not Like Gus is perfect for those leaning into Gus being the guy in LA. Last season, Gus was a TD machine, scoring 13 with the Ravens, and this year should be no different. The Chargers have shown what they plan to do this year, reuniting Edwards with offensive coordinator Greg Roman, bringing in Jim Harbaugh, cutting Mike Williams, and trading away Keenan Allen. The Gus Bus may be at that RB age cliff, but at RB38, that’s a gamble I’m willing to take. “Alexa, play They Not Like Us by Kendrick Lamar.”

Marvin’s Room – Marvin Harrison Jr.

Alright, so maybe you’re Team Drake— that’s cool! We’ve got the perfect team name for you: Marvin’s Room. Just like the song, it’s smooth and confident— just like Marvin Harrison Jr. The Arizona Cardinals hit the jackpot by drafting him and locking in the future of their franchise. With his legendary pedigree, Harrison Jr. is poised to make an immediate impact in his rookie season. Didn’t draft Marvin? Well, “I’m just sayin’, you could do better.” If you did invest in Marvin, than kudos to you, hope you enjoy the fantasy football team name!

Minshew Impossible – Gardner Minshew

If you snagged Gardner Minshew as a late-round QB2 or just appreciate his wild personality, this team name is for you. A heated QB battle unfolded in Vegas between Minshew and Aiden O’Connell during camp and preseason, but ultimately, Minshew came out on top. Now, he’s locked in as the Raiders’ starter, with playmakers like Davante Adams and rookie sensation TE Brock Bowers at his disposal. When you roll with Minshew in fantasy, expect the unexpected—because, with him, nothing is impossible.

Maxx Impact – Maxx Crosby

Speaking of the Raiders, on the other side of the ball, Maxx Crosby will no longer have the opportunity to call Minshew a “scared little boy.” Instead, they will team up to take down opponents. I’m sure Minshew is happy about that. You don’t draft a player like Maxx Crosby without expecting some serious sack production. When Crosby is on the field, he is a game wrecker. 6’5″ 255 lbs, Crosby is the definition of intensity. 55 tackles, 35 assists, and 14.5 sacks last season. It’s clear to see why. Consensus DE1, drafting Crosby to your team gives you that Maxx Impact against opponents. Plus, have you seen the guy? Yeah, I’d be scared too.

Watt’s Love Gotta Do With It – T.J. Watt

When you’ve got T.J. Watt anchoring your defense and snagging you points in IDP leagues, you know he’s bringing the love for fantasy production. Just picture it- Watt tearing through an offensive line, steamrolling an unsuspecting quarterback. What’s not to love? Watt has proven he’s a force of nature, a four-time finalist and one-time winner of the NFL Defensive Player of the Year award. If he can stay healthy this season, expect nothing less than another dominant year from him.

It’s Paye-back Time!Kwity Paye

Revenge is best served on the gridiron, and Kwity Paye is the perfect enforcer. Every year, Paye has seen an increase in sacks, and this year, he’s looking to break into the double digits. The unfortunate Achilles tear suffered by Samson Ebukam has the Colt’s sack leader sidelined for the 2024 season. Can Paye step up as a leader for the Colts? Only time will tell. I myself think he breaks his sack totals this year.

Everything is Okereke – Bobby Okereke

When it comes to keeping your fantasy team steady under the pressure of the IDP grind, Bobby Okereke is your go-to guy. This name isn’t just a clever play; it’s a testament to Okereke’s reliability and impact on the field. If you managed to draft Okereke, consider yourself lucky. He’s more than just a solid linebacker—he’s a potential game-changer. Expect him to deliver a high floor of points with his knack for accumulating tackles, and don’t be surprised if he occasionally bursts through for big plays. No worries for Okereke owners.
