Unlock The Top NFL Week 1 DFS Lineup for 2024 with these All-Star Stud Players!
Week 1 of the NFL Season is finally here. While some are invested in their season-long fantasy football leagues, others are building a weekly lineup for DFS. We have some enticing matchups to kick off the first Sunday slate of the season, including some key divisional matchups. Here are some of the players I have my eye on for Week 1 NFL DFS lineups:
Houston At Indianapolis
QB C.J. Stroud: I’m very confident in the Texans QB as he heads to Indy for a divisional matchup. Stroud has two new offensive weapons, a deep threat in WR Stefon Diggs & RB Joe Mixon. That’s five star pass catchers on the same offense. Kenny Moore & Julian Blackmon are gonna need some serious help from the rookie DBs the Colts drafted back in April. With Tank Dell returning from injury, I wouldn’t be surprised if C.J. throws for more than 300 passing yards this week. I’m rolling with the Offensive Rookie of the Year from last season.
Panthers At Saints
RB Alvin Kamara: He’s back, better than ever, and it doesn’t look like he’ll be on a Running Back committee since Kendre Miller is sidelined with an injury. I’m not convinced that Jamaal Williams will be taking away the carries after being a nonfactor last year. The Saints home opener is a divisional game against the Panthers and in the 11 games Kamara played against Carolina, he scored 8 touchdowns in 11 of those games. And he’s not that expensive for DFS. Run with Alvin this week.
Tampa Bay At Washington
WR Mike Evans: My Big Bucks pick of the week is Big Mike. He’s had at least 1,000 receiving yards every season he’s played and he’s got a great Week 1 matchup to help him keep that streak going. The Commander’s secondary was by far the worst in the league last season allowing the most passing TDs. It also helps to be QB Baker Mayfield’s favorite target. Invest in Mike Evans this week!
Jacksonville At Dolphins
TE Evan Engram: Tight End has been a nightmare for fantasy points the last two years, at least in redraft leagues. However, one Tight End who has seen more end zone targets than many others is Evan Engram. Currently, WR Christian Kirk is listed as questionable. Even with the addition of WR Gabe Davis coming from Buffalo, QB Trevor Lawrence will likely throw to his TE. He is by far the best value at the position and within the top 5 on FanDuel & Yahoo. Engram is worth a shot this week.
Vegas At Los Angeles Chargers
Raiders Defense: Their DFS value is in the bottom half and they are playing against an offense that doesn’t have a clear WR1. Sure, you can spend a little more for a more obvious choice, like the Bengals who are hosting the Patriots and are likely gonna swarm Jacoby Brissett; but even the Giant’s defense is ranked higher than the Raiders on Yahoo, and that’s likely only because of Justin Jefferson. Speaking of which, the Vikings defense might be ranked higher because of how bad the Giants offense is but their defense isn’t so great. So why invest in either? I have the Raiders pulling off the upset in Los Angeles and it’ll be their defense who gets the job done.
Multiple sportsbooks have free DFS vouchers available for week 1. There’s no reason to wager money when you don’t have to. Those odds will never be in your favor.
