To try and maximize a three to five-year fantasy football dynasty window long-term. The following early F.A. 2. Josh Allen – DL1 Stock: Holding

The Jacksonville Jaguars face a big challenge. They need to keep Josh Allen and Calvin Ridley from leaving. Both players are very important to the team. The Jaguars also want to improve their team overall. But, they have a problem. They only have about $11 million to spend for the year 2024. This budget is too small to keep Allen and Ridley and to bring in new players.

Josh Allen has improved a lot but still needs to get better in some areas. Trent Baalke and Ryan Nielsen are talking about keeping Allen with the Jaguars. They both say they want Allen to stay on the team, it’s just not decided yet how they will keep him. Allen has played well in the last five years overall, and he has 74 games under his belt and made 224 tackles and 45 sacks. And if it wasn’t for DT Christian Wilkins being more refined at his interior position. Allen would have fit nicely in at the number one spot in this early F.A. defensive linemen dynasty IDP rankings.

3. Justin Madubuike  – DL1 Stock: Climbing

Justin Madubuike was the best at getting to the quarterback among all defensive tackles. He got 13 sacks and hit the quarterback 33 times. He was one of the best players on his team. This isn’t easy with top players like Roquan Smith, Patrick Queen, and Kyle Hamilton to name a few. No one was better than Madubuike at dominating during the games. And that’s certainly caught a lot of attention from other teams heading into free agency.

Right now, the Ravens don’t have much money to spend (only a little over $7 million). So, it’s not sure if they can keep Madubuike, who is 26 years old and played at an elite level in 2023. Last season, he did great with 58 tackles, 13.5 sacks, and 33 hits on quarterbacks. Other teams will want him because he’s so good. If Madubuike leaves, it might also affect whether inside linebacker Patrick Queen stays.

6. Mike Hoecht – DL1 Stock: Climbing

Michael Hoecht played like an Ironman in the 2023 season, and if you didn’t know. He changed from playing (drafted) defensive tackle to starting as a key edge rusher for the Rams. Last season, he snagged 6.5 sacks and hit the quarterback 15 times, but it’s his 85 total tackles that stand out most. And reportedly, he’s expected to stay with his team because he’s a restricted free agent.

We can see that Hoecht is getting better as he goes this far in his career. This makes him a solid target for any manager needing a player who can hit a five-year dynasty window. And if Hoecht can keep improving his pass-rushing stats just a little more. We could see Hoecht as an upper-tier edge rusher as early as the early 2025 defensive linemen rankings.
