After a lackluster 2021 season, the Denver Broncos have retooled the roster a bit. The splash signing of the offseason brought superstar quarterback Russell Wilson to town. A rising tide lifts all ships. There is excitement on the offensive side of the ball. For IDP, the choices aren’t quite as exciting.
Offense
Quarterback
Russell Wilson
One of the best in his generation, with numerous QB1 seasons in Seattle, and now Russell Wilson is ready to ride with Broncoscountry. Now, with a better offensive system and weapons around him, Wilson is set to bounce back in a big way and is a darkhorse MVP candidate. Brandon Blanco 8/18
Josh Johnson
Brett Rypien
Running Back
Melvin Gordon
Javonte Williams
Mike Boone
Wide Receiver
Courtland Sutton
Jerry Jeudy
A riddled first to years with drops and injuries have set Jerry Jeudy back. Now, with Russell Wilson under center, Jeudy is set to have a make-or-break year three. The former Alabama star will look to become a viable weapon for Wilson and fantasy managers across the globe. Brandon Blanco 8/18
Tim Patrick
An unfortunate ACL tear ends Patrick’s season. Already a fringe dynasty asset, if you can get a final-round rookie pick in any upcoming year, take it. It’s KJ Hamler SZN now. DynastySanta 8/17
KJ Hamler
With Tim Patrick’s unfortunate ACL tear, Hamler ascends the depth chart and looks to have some fringe sleeper value in redraft leagues. He’s a strong dynasty buy for me, but the price might be a bit too high at the moment. If he stumbles out of the gate, go get him then for a mid-round future pick. DynastySanta 8/17
Trey Quinn
Kendall Hinton
Montrell Washington
Seth Williams
Tight End
Albert Okwuegbunam
Greg Dulcich
Eric Saubert
Eric Tomlinson
Defense
Defensive Tackle
Mike Purcell
D.J. Jones
DeShawn Williams
Defensive End/EDGE
A strong corps of pass rushers, snaps, and pressures converting to sacks will separate the IDP men from the boys in this group.
Bradley Chubb
Randy Gregory
Dre’Mont Jones
A favorite sleeper of mine for a couple of years, this is likely a make-or-break season for Jones. Many players previously clogging the pass-rushing lanes are now gone/retired. Especially if he is eligible for DT, Jones gets a massive boost in value. As a DE/EDGE I am not as interested anymore. DynastySanta 8/17
Malik Reed
Baron Browning
Nik Bonitto
Jonathon Cooper
Linebacker
Until/unless injuries shake things out, this LB depth chart could be a mess.
Josey Jewell
Joe Schobert
Schobert finally lands with a home in Denver for the 2022 season. Maybe there was a reason it took a team so long to sign him, but I’m still betting on him to be the top IDP producer of this LB unit. DynastySanta 8/17
Alex Singleton
Justin Strnad
Jonas Griffith
After a promising start to camp and preseason, Griffith will now miss time (up to six weeks) with a dislocated elbow. He’s probably worth an IR stash but might be a tough road back to relevancy this year. Don’t hold on too long. DynastySanta 8/17
Cornerback
Ronald Darby
Patrick Surtain II
K’Waun Williams
Michael Ojemudia
Blessuan Austin
Safety
Justin Simmons
Kareem Jackson
Caden Sterns
Delarrin Turner-Yell
