2026 NFL IDP Free Agency - Stock Down

2026 NFL IDP Free Agency – Stock Down

“2026 NFL IDP Free Agency will have a dramatic effect on players and their 2026 projected outcome. Here are the IDPs whose stock has fallen!”

We have had a very exciting and busy 2026 NFL IDP Free Agency period that will dramatically impact several players’ value. In this edition, we will look at the IDPs who have been hurt by either moving to a new team or a new situation, or by a free agent signing with their team. We will look at all IDPs that you want to remove from your roster. This can be done via drops or trade.

1) DL – Jihad Ward – UFA

Ward was with the Titans in 2025 and played 11 straight games of 71% or more of the defensive snaps to end the 2025 season. He produced 31 tackles (15 solo), 4 tackles for a loss, 22 QB hits, 5 sacks, and 4 passes defended. He played in all 17 games, starting 12. The Titans signed John Franklin-Myers to a 3-year, $63 million contract with $42 million guaranteed. Franklin-Myers should play 80% of the defensive snaps and lineup next to Jeffrey Simmons to make a potent combination up the middle. Ward should not get a chance to re-sign with the Titans due to the large commitment to Franklin-Myers.

2) Edge – Tavius Robinson – Baltimore Ravens

Robinson was beginning to have a breakout year before breaking his foot in Week 6 last year. He did return in Week 15 to finish the final four games of 2025. In the first 5 1/2 games at the beginning of the season, Robinson posted 17 tackles, 2 tackles for a loss, 3 QB hits, 2 sacks, and 1 pass defended. His final four games had him produce 11 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss, 6 QB hits, and 2.5 sacks. Mike Green should return as a starter after a very successful rookie season that included 41 tackles, 7 tackles for a loss, 14 QB hits, 3.5 sacks, and 1 fumble recovery. The Ravens signed Trey Hendrickson to a 4-year, $112 million contract which will have him as the #1 starter. Those two will leave Robinson with a reduced snap count after the ceiling looked to be on the rise.

3) Linebacker – Devin White – UFA

White had a career year in tackles in 2025 for the Raiders. He produced 174 tackles (95 solo), 11 tackles for a loss, 7 QB hits, 2.5 sacks, 1 forced fumble, 3 passes defended, and 1 interception. White played every defensive snap of the season until the final game, where he missed a couple of snaps. So, why did the Raiders sign two new free agent linebackers, then Quay Walker and Nakobe Dean? White is not the most efficient defensive player and seems to carry a lazy and bad attitude. He will most likely get signed to a contract as training camps open and injuries happen. There will be a substantial regression in production from this point on in his career.

4) Linebacker – Bobby Okereke – UFA

After playing nearly every defensive snap for the Giants in 2025 and producing 143 tackles (78 solo), 2 tackles for a loss, 1 QB hit, 1 sack, 1 fumble recovery, 6 passes defended, and 2 interceptions, the Giants decided to replace him with free agent Tremaine Edmunds. Okereke is still an unrestricted free agent and will most likely sign before training camps open. He will be 30 years old in July this year. He doesn’t look to be getting the chance to continue his 130-150 tackle seasons he has produced in four out of the last five years.

5) Linebacker – Bobby Wagner – UFA

Wagner has been a stud with 14 straight seasons of triple-digit tackles. He played every defensive snap in 2025 for the Commanders. Wagner will turn 36 years old in June of this year. The Commanders do not seem to be interested in re-signing Wagner as of now. They did sign unrestricted linebacker Leo Chenal to a pretty nice contract of 3-years, $24.750 million with $12.4 million guaranteed. 2026 seems to be a Commanders starting duo of Chenal and Frankie Luvo. Wagner should get signed by another team during training camps, with injuries and poor play being displayed. It would be very unlikely that he would land a 100% defensive snap role in 2026.

6) Cornerback – Trevon Diggs – UFA

Diggs seems to have fallen out of favor with NFL teams this offseason. He had a career year in 2021 when he posted 21 passes defended, 11 interceptions, and 2 interceptions returned for touchdowns. In his other 6 years combined, Diggs has posted just 6 interceptions and zero touchdowns. He has missed multiple games over the past three seasons due to various knee injuries, including a torn ACL in 2023. Diggs has also missed multiple games due to concussions. The Cowboys released him after eight games played last year. The Packers signed him toward the end of last season, and Diggs played one game before getting released after the season ended.

7) Safety – Donovan Wilson – UFA

Wilson was a starting Safety for the Cowboys for the past four seasons. The Cowboys have had a porous defense for a few seasons in a row. Wilson has had declining tackle numbers for four seasons straight. He produced 101 tackles in 2022, 88 tackles in 2023, 82 tackles in 2024, and 71 tackles in 2025. The Cowboys decide to upgrade the position with the signing of an unrestricted free agent, Jalen Thompson. Thompson has had 95 tackles or more in 4 out of the past 5 seasons. Wilson’s days as a productive starting safety look to be coming to an end this year. He is still unsigned, but should sign a backup-type contract as training camps approach.
